Board of Directors Appoints New President
and Secretary On April 14th Larry Clapp was appointed President and Brian Wunderlin was appointed Secretary. This change comes because John Santamaria felt due to business and personal reasons that he was no longer able to dedicate the time necessary for leading a successful chapter. Thank you John for your time served as President.
Where I may want to write all about Larry Clapp there were some other fantastic things happening in the past month that need mentioning. Forty-four of the Heralds of Harmony chorus members performed at Citrus County Education Foundation’s ALLEGRO program bene!ting many educational needs. Read more about that on page 3.
We’ve got some exciting things coming up too! Watch out Kansas City, here we come! Get to Kansas City by plane, train, or automobile, but be sure you get there. July 2nd through July 7th is the time to be there. It is going to be one heck of a contest. The Heralds of Harmony will have better sound and better moves by then. And you thought they were good now! :)

ALLEGRO, the Citrus County Education Foundation’s fund raiser was a huge success."
This fund raiser, created by the Foundation’s Executive Director Judy Williams, helps support teacher mini-grants, scholarships, school-to-work programs, !eld trips & fairs, and literacy programs.
Forty-four Heralds gave it their all." The Heralds of Harmony were the show openers and closers singing 14 songs under the direction of Steve Jamison, Brian Weber, and Kent Jenkins. Seven singers were on their !rst show with the Heralds.
With Art McNeil handling the God and Country commentary and Charlie Barbarisi and Chuck Steiner showing o# their story telling skills in the Love and Heartache set, the Heralds provided signi!cant entertainment for the crowd.
Also appearing in the show were Quartets Flashback, iQuartet, Spanglish, and Click along with the HD Chorus and Citrus High’s CATEGORY 5.
It was a great turn out in both performers and attendees. Thanks to those who were there."
A big thank you to Judy for allowing The Heralds to be a part of this great event. (The Heralds have been invited to come back next year!) ALLEGRO
A huge success!

Time to spi#y up that tuxedo for International!
Make sure it is clean. Take a critical look at your tuxedo, your shirt, and your shoes. Is it time for a polish on those shiny shoes? A new brighter whiter shirt? How about a whole new Tux?! Start thinking about these things now so you have plenty of time to prepare to be dazzling in Kansas City.
It’s not easy to capture Angels on camera so when it happens
we share! Pictured here: Claudine Jenkins,

How well do you know your BOD?Okay, admit it, how many of you considered checking yourself out in the mirror when you read that? On a more serious note, I was actually referring to the Board of Directors. Do you realize how hard the Board of Directors members work to keep this chapter running, and how much time they spend on chorus related business when they are o# the risers? Believe me, it is a lot of time. And e#ort. Give them a pat on the back when you see them next time and thank them for all they do so all you have to do is climb on the risers and sing and enjoy yourself. (And rehearse, and stretch, and practice, and prepare your tuxedo..... )
HoH BoD meetings are currently on the 2nd Thursday of the month at the Scottish Rite. Upcoming meetings are 6/9, 7/14, 8/11, 9/8, 10/13, 11/10, and 12/8. All Heralds are invited to attend. If you wish to participate and have a particular item to discuss, please email Larry Clapp or Brian Wunderlin in advance so they can put it on the agenda to reserve some time along with the other business that will be discussed that evening.
SWEET SPOTSPlotting your personal Sweet Spot...
Matt Sullivan found some apps for that!
There are the two apps (one for iPad, iPod, and iPhone and the other for Android users) that show the formants, i.e. overtones,
produced while singing in your sweet spot.
The more lines you produce bottom to top on the spectragraph, the more overtones you produce.
When you !nd the position with the most overtones you’ve found your sweet spot!!!
iPad, iPod, and iPhone
go to the app store and search for
Voice Analyzer Pro. It is made by Dexus
$1.99
Android devices go to the market place and
search for SpectralPro Analyzer.
It is made by RadonSoft $5.75
