Diane White will illustrate the upcoming Flower Design and Anne Cheng will tell us about perennial division in preparation for May market. September Flower Design: THE COLOR WHEEL: Traditional Contrasting Color Harmonies – Direct Complement Design Type: Vertical Line or Line Mass using fresh and/or dried plant material- Design may not exceed 36" H, 24" W and 24"D. Designer must incorporate any two hues that lie opposite each other on the color wheel. Background and underlay are optional.

September Artistic Crafts: A Creative Napkin Fold – A napkin, provided by the exhibitor, creatively folded incorporating fresh and/or dried plant material. (No artificial plant material.) Napkin will be shown on a complimentary plate provided by the exhibitor. Underlay encouraged, not required. Membership Meeting: Thursday, September 22nd, 2016 at Stamford Yacht Club Submission of Exhibits – 8.30am- 9.45am (no late entries accepted) Sept Entry sheets on our website – Member section - http://shippanpointgardenclub.org/members only/ (Member Password: Dahlia) Membership Meeting and Luncheon at 12 Noon at Stamford Yacht Club (Please call the club at 203-323-3161 for Luncheon reservations) Our speaker for September is Andrea Candee, MH, MSC, who will talk about The Healing Kitchen. Andrea specializes in chronic Lyme disease and its viral co-infections. She is a Master Herbalist, Instructor for the NY Botanical Garden, and author of Gentle Healing for Baby and Child, has learned to harness the power of nature through Herbal Mastery. Presentation starts at 1:00 pm. All members/friends are welcome to attend the presentation. If you would like to attend the presentation without having lunch please let Ulli know, we'll make sure there are chairs available for you. Other Business Splendor By The Sea: Oh Yes – we’re still thinking of that wonderful Standard Flower Show we held at Sue-Ann Friedman’s gorgeous house! Thanks Sue-Ann and Kudos to all who helped make it such a success!
