Barrett Mahony Consulting Engineers (BMCE) is an Interna-

tional Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy Practice founded in Dublin since 1994, get-ting close to celebrating our first quarter of a century in business.

We are a wholly Irish owned practice specialising in structural Engineering consultancy services

across the construction sector.

Our staff are highly qualified and enthusiastic with skills that are constantly updated through a

programme of Continuing Profes-sional Development. The practice

adopts a hands-on, proactive approach that results in innova-

tive and efficient designs to meet our client’s needs.

We operate an independently ac-credited ISO Quality Management

System.

BMCE and DITThe Practice has close affiliations with DIT.A majority of our directors and staff are Graduates of the DIT Structural Engineering Programmes and we are proud to be invited to partake in guest lecturing and external examiner sessions on a regular basis.

GRADUATES We offer Graduates support by means of induction training, Dedicated Support Mentor and access to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

The hands on approach of our Directors means that Graduates get to work alongside and engage directly with engineers at all levels which helps to strengthen the graduate’s experience.

Graduates at BMCE are encouraged from an early stage to be part of the team and get exposure to clients, site and industry from the onset

BMCE SOCIAL CLUBSThe practice has a Social Club, Soccer Team, Golf Society and

Running Club that take part in regular activities, including Social outings, Karting, Hell and Back, Road Races etc as suggested by

the staff which help staff get to know each other outside the office environment.

BMCE OPPORTUNITIESWe have an excellent track record in providing experience and assistance to our graduates taking part in professional examinations, in particular the IStructE part 3 examinations.

Career progression opportunities are available, most of our senior engineers have worked their way up through the ranks from Graduates and received the mentoring and support to help build their careers.

Occasional there can be opportunities for travel, a large proportion of our Engineers in our London Office began their career in Dublin and opted to travel to London retaining the bene-fit being part of the BM group.

BMCE EXPERIENCEBMCE is advanced in the world of Building Information Mod-elling (BIM), and operate the highest levels of analysis and de-sign software including Robot, SCIA, Etabs, RAM and Similar.

BMCE have extensive experience in Tall Building design, with numerous building in London ranging up to 40 Stories.

The Practice is an active member of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland, which is the voice of Consulting Engineers, representing the business interests of Engineers, their clients and society. Our Managing Director is the current Vice President of the Associa-tion.
