Perfect the art of entertaining! Located at the heart of the city, there can be few venues that

rival the stunning surroundings of Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery.

Visitors enter the Grade II listed building through an imposing temple-like portico and

staircase that leads to the spectacular Round Room, which provides a dramatic back drop

for drinks receptions and buffets for up to 150 guests.

For larger events up to 250 people you can extend into the adjacent Industrial Gallery

which provides a striking double height gallery space displaying beautiful decorative arts.

Dining facilities are provided in the splendid Edwardian Tea Room. Up to 120 guests can

be accommodated for a formal dinner.

All three of these spaces can be joined up to provide a suite of galleries that can cater for

up to 600 guests.

Dedicated staff will work with you to tailor the options available to make your event a

complete success.

Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery is located in the civic centre of Birmingham, opposite

the Town Hall in Chamberlain Square and just a few minutes’ walk away from the city’s

train stations, shopping areas and major conference facilities.

Round Room

The Round Room stands as it did in 1885 with red walls and paintings all around.

With an ornate domed ceiling and colourful tiled floor it is sure to wow your guests.

Perfect for receptions, launches and small dinners the Round Room is perfect for all

events. Situated in the heart of the museum you can inspire your guests with a

mixture of history, art and design.

Housing the Decorative Arts collection the Industrial Gallery is a brilliant example of

Victorian architecture, boasting decorative steel work, a glass ceiling and colourful

tiled floor. The Industrial Gallery is a very versatile space and can be used for

dinners, standing buffets, receptions and filming.

Edwardian Tea Room One of the most beautiful interior spaces in Birmingham the Edwardian Tea Room is ideal for standing buffets and receptions. With elegant steel work, a glass ceiling and colourful tiled floor the Edwardian Tea Room is a beautiful location for your event.

The Galleries Enlighten and inspire your guests with a tour of our galleries. There are over 500,000

objects in the collections, dating from 200,000 years ago to the present, and originating from each of the continents.

Birmingham Museums is home to one of the world's finest collections of Pre-Raphaelite art, as well as extensive collections of fine and applied art, social history, archaeology, ethnography and not forgetting the world-renowned collection from the Staffordshire Hoard.

Light bites to banqueting Whether you would like canapes, a tasty finger buffet or silver service banquet, you

can be sure that guests with even the most discerning taste buds will be delighted with our food and drink offer.

Fresh ingredients are sourced daily, and wherever possible organic and seasonal produce are used. Many dietary requirements can be catered for, including vegan, halal, and healthy options.

And if you have something very special in mind, we are happy to work with you to produce a bespoke menu to meet your needs.

Access

The museum is accessible by lift from the Gas Hall entrance on Edmund Street

and the Great Charles Street entrance. Please contact our Events Team to

discuss any specific requirements your party may have.

Parking

Car parks and pay and display on street parking can be found close by.

Public Transport

Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery is accessible via almost every major bus route

in the city and is within a short walking distance from New Street, Snow Hill and

Moor Street railway stations.
