Mother's Day youth service. It will be a Vacation Bible School closing celebration as well,
since VBS is on June 16-18. The Elders have recommended that we move Holy
Communion to June 28, the fourth Sunday of the month, at the regular 10:15 a.m. service.
We will also have reception of new members for four adults and one of the junior
confirmands on June 28. AND don't forget, the installation of our new pastor, Rev. Ken

your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven”
(Matthew 5:16). When the true Light shines from within us, the good works that we do will encourage
others and direct them to our Father in heaven.

TLC BARBECUE! August 9th is the day for our annual BBQ this year. The live and
silent auctions bring a unique opportunity to donate something handcrafted. We all love to own one of a
kind items made by our friends. We are in the canning season--how about donating some jellies,
vegetables, or fruits? It doesn’t even have to be processed--a nice box of fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, or
okra is a treat for someone without a garden! Also, watch your local stores for big sales on items--it
could be the big ticket item of the day! Some merchants may even be willing to donate an item! Be sure
to ask all your neighbors and friends to attend this year.
