• Carrier Ethernet is a ubiquitous, standardized, carrier-class SERVICE defined by five attributes that distinguish Carrier Ethernet from familiar LAN based Ethernet

• It brings the compelling business benefit of the Ethernet cost model to achieve significant savings

Carrier Ethernet

• Scalability

• Standardized Services

• Service Management

• Quality of Service

• Reliability

Carrier Ethernet Attributes

We are built on CE 2.0

02122012-bclDifferentiators 5

What is CE 2.0

CE 2.0 stands for Carrier Ethernet 2 as defined by the Metro-Ethernet Forum. (The governing body behind Carrier and Metro-Ethernet standardization)

BlueStreak is the first network build from the ground up on this set of standards.

These Service types are defined asE-Line (Point to Point)E-Tree (Point to multi-point)ELAN (Multi-point to multi-point)E-Access (Network exchange)

Core Diversity

With a diverse Carrier-Ethernet core we can reroute connections if a problem occurs on our network. While this is not unique our statistics are:

• Core circuit failover time < .25ms

• Average packet loss during failover < .001%

• Time to fail back to prim. < .2ms

Service Provider Redundancy

Since other problems can arise with services, including problems with the service provider, we can also reroute a connection from a service provider’s primary location to a secondary location.

Cellular Backhaul

High CapacityPeak LTE-A (Rel. 10) data rates that will meet or exceed 100 MbpsLikely LTE (rel. 8) peak data rate using using 10 Mhz channels in the 20-40 Mbps range for a single sectorA fully populated 3-sector LTE site using 10 MHz will likely need 80 Mbps backhaul

After sufficient 4G devices are in the marketplace

MORE likely that Pico cells will be at the upper range when properly deployed

Native EthernetLTE has a flat all IP architecture using Ethernet for transport

Ultra-Low Latency10 ms end-to-end latency

Legacy SupportMany cells may require continuing 2G/3G support: TDM transport

Service provider Change

Sometimes a provider just does not live up the the promises that have been made to the customer. Since our network works like an exchange, a customer can quickly move from one provider to another without the devastating toll an infrastructure change can have on a business.

Only Fiber can do this

02122012-bclDifferentiators 18

These features are be very impressive and we are sure this service can only be done with “FIBER”.

But that lacks the Flexibility

We have developed a Virtual Fiber Networks™ Wireless solution

• Path Diverse• Media Diverse• Standards Compliant• Reliable• Flexible• Fast installation

Page 19: Blue streak diff-timed

And the one last thing

02122012-bclDifferentiators 19

Redundancy!!While we are a great primary choice

Because we are:• Path Diverse• Media Diverse

We are the ideal diverse path backup provider to existing land based connection:

• We can sit as a hot backup• Or uniquely we can create LAG with other

providers.
