veneered plywood to ensure added strength and durability to

our cabinets. Our Dovetailed Drawers are soft close and come

with a lifetime warranty. Our Box Construction is heavy duty

with minimum ½” plywood sides and ¾” hardwood frames.

Our Cabinet boxes are dattoed, glued, and screwed together

for extra durability. Our interiors are natural birch with flush

cabinet floors that are both beautiful and functional. Sturdy

and concealed hinges are adjustable and come with a lifetime

investments in our cabinet finish systems, finish colors and our topcoats because we fully believe

that the finish is what makes your cabinetry look beautiful long into the future.

Our topcoats are durable, scratch and mar resistant, household chemical resistant and UV resistant

to protect your cabinetry from normal wear and tear while retaining its beautiful luster and sheen.

We use catalyzed conversion varnish sealers and top coats in our state-of-the-art finish facility for

their unmatched durability and beauty.

In 1994 Blue River Cabinetry was established by three Amish

craftsman near Fredericksburg, Indiana in the heart of Amish

Country. The goal of the founders was tenacious but clear cut:

deliver the best handcrafted custom cabinetry to the entire region.

Through years of hard work, this goal was met and the business

began to prosper. However, in 2002 unforeseen circumstances

brought Blue River’s progress to a temporary halt. A fire engulfed

the entire shop and everything inside was destroyed except for the

founders will to move forward.

Overwhelmed by circumstance but not defeated, friends of the

Fredericksburg community came together to reconstruct the

business. In less than 90 days, a new but primitive shop was built

from the ground up. Although the new facility utilized generators

and gaslights, the three founders used their masterful skills in

woodwork to renovate the shop and reopen for business.

In 2003, Blue River entered a new chapter as additional skilled

craftsmen invested in the business from its original owners. Both

were local businessmen with extensive backgrounds in furniture

manufacturing and craftsmanship. Positioned to hit the ground

running, the two began to bridge the gap between established

tradition and modern technological know how.

In 2013, Blue River Cabinetry received additional

investment for plant modernization to position the

company with an opportunity for growth. The owners

still hold Blue River’s rich tradition and founding

principles very close. Unfazed by circumstance, the

goal of the business to create the finest handcrafted

custom cabinetry has carried over for two decades. The

business has evolved by blending new technologies

with Amish principle and standards of quality. Blue River

continues to manufacture the highest quality wood

cabinetry in the region that customers can be proud to

have on display in their homes for years to come.
