Hands-on Labs

IBM DB2 10.5 with BLU Acceleration: Analytics Made Easy - Michael Kwok

Michael Kwok is an excellent communicator, and his knowledge and expertise in this area made this hands-on lab invaluable. I appreciate Michael taking the time to answer my questions and his utmost care that I (as a customer) left the Lab session with everything I needed to come back and implement BLU in my business. Excellent job, Michael!

Hands-on labs are sadly under utilized… extremely high value. Courses are really good and many were offered.

IDUG, IBM Redbooks, Flashbooks => very easy to get good education about IBM products.

Education about the internals of the product – a clear differentiator for IBM. - Matt Huras. Double session… very detailed presentation.

Chris Eaton and his thorough competitive talks are great– he knows as a much about the competitors as he does about IBM.

Rav Ahuja with the BLU Acceleration for Cloud presentation. Very prepared.

CLUB BLU Exclusive invite only DB2 event at the House of Blues Foundation room had 388 clients, partners and IBMers mix and mingle to progress deals

@mstopfer1

Over 400 attendees (standing room only) joined Steve Mills, Bob Picciano, Doug Balog and seven client speakers at the Break Free Forum - Better by Design event at Information On Demand 2013.

The theme of the event emphasized the business value of IBM big data offerings, particularly, DB2, DB2 BLU and PureData compared to other offerings available in the marketplace. Of particular interest was the Q&A session with the IBM executive team, the client panel, and the client panel.

Taking the opening General Session stage in tandem, Bob Picciano and Les Rechan led attendees through a discussion of these components, arrived at not only through lessons learned from thousands of client engagements, but by the findings contained in "Analytics: A blueprint for value," the latest research report by the IBM Institute for Business Value.

The Big Data & Analytics Curricula ConferenceIBM, Syracuse University School of Information Studies (iSchool), and the University of Ottawa Telfer School of Management join forces to create an action-oriented and participant-driven peer review workshop to discuss the future of Big Data and Analytics and revolutionize the availability of Big Data and Analytics skills for businesses to leverage. Participants will:

– Be part of the future of Big Data and Analytics and how it can be leveraged to create value in business and academia;

– Get a broad view of the newest trends and perspectives;– Gain deep insight into opportunities and challenges;– Join a collaborative network of subject matter experts.
