Case of blood spatter

In august 1980 the chamberlain family was camping near a rock formation called ayers rock in central Australia. Lindy chamberlain put her two children 4 year old Reagan and 10 week year old Azaria to bed in there tent. When she returned she “The dingo took my baby.” Linda says she saw the dingo dragging something but didn’t know what it was. When the blood spatter analysis arrived to the scene he looked at a baby jumper suit they found full of blood. the police claimed to have found stains in a cave near where Lindy was staying. Initially they found blood in lindys tent and found out it was Azaria's blood type. Since the police allowed and didn’t question when the chamberlains took the clothes home they messed up. Azaria’s chamberlain case shows what can happen when law enforcement isn’t trained in blood spatter analysis . Once the scene is changed and the clothing is washed there is no way of getting back the evidence. Since they washed the clothes the blood analyst could not find if there was blood on the chamberlains clothes.
