The Omani government is very committed todiversifying the national economy by focusing oncreating new employment opportunities in growingindustries which will be a major theme of thesymposium. Organising this event will raise theawareness amongst relevant authorities of themultiple technology applications of Blockchainarchitectures - as well as to position their institutionsin a pioneering or governing role from a crypto-governance standpoint.
One of the expected outcomes of the event is thecreation of a FinTech Centre of Excellence in Muscat,therefore the global promotion of Oman as aregulatory-friendly destination for internationalCrypto/Blockchain companies is also part of thescope. The Omani Blockchain Symposium is conceived to bring the best minds and global ideas together in Muscat for a series ofinspiring talks and discussions, covering the areas of Blockchain technologies most likely to have a significant impact onthe local economy.
Over 200 participants are expected to attend including, top decision makers from both the public and private sectors. Anumber of international speakers will share their foresights in the exciting new Blockchain technologies, with a particularaccent on areas relevant to Financial and Government Services.
