Borum Industrial Portable Micro Blasting Cabinet features a large perspex viewing screen & internal worklight. The safe internal rubber working gloves offer access to an effective fixed sandblasting gun that’s great for sandblasting dirt, corrosion and quick to remove paint. A heavy steel construction cabinet keeps the dust off the floor, out of the air & enables you to easily recycle abrasive media. This blasting cabinet has a foot pedal operated industrial sandblast action with a wall mounted gun for easy operation. The built in air regulator and pressure gauge provide easy adjustment to fast or general parts cleaning action.

This popular blast cabinet is designed to offer a clear, well lit area with it’s film protected view window that is designed to allow controlled airflow though the cabinet to ensure that your abrasive powder ends up in your dust extractor, not around the workshop. A large hinged window provides operators with plenty of visibility and a 240V fluorescent lamp to illuminate parts clearly whilst reducing any shadowing. The handholes are ergonomically angled and spaced to provide operator comfort when using this compact and convenient parts cleaning system for extended periods of time.

Window shield films are available to help protect the front glass on the workstation - particularly useful when working on small parts that are hard to see. The TradeQuip “Made for the Trade” 3036T Blasting Cabinet features a large gaslift assisted front door for easy loading and unloading. It has excellent lighting and a very powerful vacuum system. The lower hopper stores the abrasive material for use and reuse and opens easily to allow easy removal of any media. Always ready to use when you are, the cabinet can be constantly connected to your air supply and is ready for immediate use when you step on the pedal.

The 3036T uses a foot pedal to control the flow of abrasives from the air nozzle. The foot pedal allows the operator to just “hold and point” the nozzle rather than the need to “pull a trigger” of other sandblast cabinets which can cause hand fatigue during prolonged use.

The 3036T incorporates a powerful vacuum dust extraction system that keeps the work area free of “floating” rust and used abrasive media particles. After the media particles “slams against” the surface to be cleaned, a portion of the bead is “destroyed” and becomes almost weightless. The vacuum system removes the “floating” rust particles and the “used up” media particle shells while the “good beads’ fall into the hopper below the work surface.

You can also use bicarbonate soda blast media (NOT household baking soda) to remove graffiti and grime from brick, concrete, limestone, granite and other surfaces. Use to remove mold and mildew stains from pools, cement, brick, tile, granite, sound stucco, siding and more. Safely strip paint from aircraft aluminum, trucks, motorcycles. Fitting InstructionsRemove the Standard Manifold (See picture in fig.1)Use a flat head screwdriver to loosen the hose clamp on the blasting hose and pull the hose off the connector.Unscrew the air hose form the manifold.Unscrew the manifold from the bottom of the tank.

Fit Soda Blasting Manifold (See picture in fig.2)Screw in the new manifold until tight, use a spanner, ensure the air hose connection faces the back of the tank.Screw in the air hose and tighten with a spanner.Push the blasting hose onto the lower connector, tighten the clamp with a flat head screwdriver.If the exhaust hose is not connected push it onto the remaining connector.

NOTE: Use PTFE tape on threaded connection for an air tight seal.

Walnut Shell Media Abrasive

The TradeQuip “Made for the Trade” Walnut Shell Blasting Media Abrasive is designed for use in conjunction with our TradeQuip Blasting Cabinets. Nut shells and other organic materials, don’t cause anchor patterns, making them useful for removing dirt, grease, oil, carbon, scale, burrs and paint without changing the underlying substrate. Walnut shells can be an excellent choice for softer surfaces such as wood — they won’t cause etching. Walnut shells are one of less abrasive blasting media you can use and are completely biodegradable, making them among the most environmentally-friendly blasting media. Walnut shell blasting media is great for rust-free paint removal from sheet metal and for cleaning engines and transmissions. Walnut media blasting is also an effective media for cleaning paint, grease and other dirt from the surface of a material whilst maintaining the integrity of substrate materials. Steel grit offers a more angular shape and sharper texture. It can be used to remove rust, paint or scale from steel surfaces. Soda Bi-Carbonate Blasting Media Abrasive

The TradeQuip “Made for the Trade” Soda Bi-Carbonate Blasting Media Abrasive is designed for use in conjunction with our TradeQuip Mobile Soda Blasting Kits. Soda Bi-Carbonate blasting media has non abrasive properties which makes it a very universal blasting media which can be applied to lighter materials such as aluminium, plastic, fibreglass, wood etc. Soda Blasting does not damage glass, rubber, chrome items if they are left on a vehicle for blasting. Soda Blasting leaves behind a thin protective film which, if left untouched, will prevent surface rust from forming on bare steel surfaces for up 6 weeks or even longer if stored in a dry, protected area. This film must be removed before painting by wiping down with acetone dampened microfiber cloths or suitable lint-free towels. Only use acetone to wipe residue. Wipe off soda residue, rinse often and immediately follow up with a dry lint-free towel. Any soda media left in body seems or crevices can be removed with a small shop vacuum and a fine tipped blow gun.
