Creative Brief Spritzz(Organization)

Prepared by Blake Pfeil 1. Project Overview:

a. Spritzz is a soft drink company that has been around since the late 1800’s with its home offices in the small town of Pierce, Nebraska, and has been using an old timey look for their aesthetic.

b. Spritzz is facing lower sales, and are hoping that their new energy drink, Shabang, will help boost sales and want to use a more modern or futuristic look for it.

2. Goals/Project Objective:

a. Slowing sales has lead to Spritzz trying to enter into the energy drink market. Shabang isn’t only just an energy drink, but it also can be used as a pre-workout drink due to its healthier ingredient makeup.

b. Spritzz plans on unveiling their new energy drink, Shabang, within the next year and they hope this new advertising campaign will draw in some hype and excitement for it.

c. To combine their current logo that draws an old timey feel/look to it with a more modern/futuristic look for Shabang. The goal is to showcase that even with their old timey feel to their drinks, the futuristic look of Shabang will not detract from that.

d. Specific tactics. (Specific pieces to be completed and their purpose to fulfill based on your marketing and creative design goals.) Discuss how each will be used for the campaign • Logo and Stationery- Use the current logo in all ads to reaffirm brand image, and

include it in all press releases and other company necessities (i.e. business card, media kits, etc.)

• Newsletter- To showcase upcoming events to get the word out about Shabang and announce it. The newsletter will be sent to all subscribers in the mailing list, and buyers of the Spritzz product line.

• Interactive Ad- The interactive ad will just link to the home of Spritzz and other press releases regarding the upcoming release of Shabang.

• Brochure- Show prospective customers how Shabang is effective like Spritzz’s other products.

• Postcard- Show the new product off.

3. Audience: a. b. College students who need the energy, and most large audiences. c. 18-26 year old’s, both male and female with economic standing not being an issue. d. For college students, being able to stay awake through the day/stay up late to work on

homework and to get good grades from doing so. e. Shabang isn’t like other energy drinks, it’s healthier, and is a great change of pace from

using the same brand all the time. 4. What We Want to Convey:

a. Shabang is a fun energy drink that will satisfy your needs, whether it be a pick-me-up during the day, or some late night grinding for a test, paper, or project. A secondary effect for Shabang is that it makes for a great pre-workout energy boost!

5. What will Compel the Audience to Believe the Message:

a. This drinks advertising towards a specific issue of theirs will draw them to use it. Spritzz has a long history of satisfaction with their products, so the audience should be more receptive to a new product.

6. Creative Guidelines/Approaches: a. Don’t let either the company brand or Shabang name be unnoticeable in the ads, both
