WORLD BOOK DAY—3RD MARCH
Have you decided which colour of the rainbow you are going to dress in for World Book Day?
Will you be head to toe in that colour?
Are you creating a rainbow with your friends?
Every year World Book Day is a wonderful celebration of literature. During the day there will be
a photograph challenge to be reading in unusual places around the school.
SCHOOL UNIFORM
After half term we will be giving parents/carers the opportunity to
‘grab a bargain’ and buy existing uniform stock at a third of the usual price.
Please look out for a letter regarding this.
NEW BABY
Dylan Hewitt from Ms Holding’s class, Craig Hewitt from Mrs Rawthorne’s class and Megan Hewitt
from Miss Griffiths’ class were excited to tell us about their new baby sister Brooklyn Jordan,
born 2nd February, weighing 6lb 2 3/4oz.
Congratulations to all the family.
E CIGARETTES
May I politely remind all adults coming onto the premises that E cigarettes are not permitted on
site even on the playgrounds. We are a healthy school and follow the St Helens Council Policy
regarding E Cigarettes.
Your co-operation is appreciated.

LENT—CHARITY—GOOD SHEPHERD
Along with all Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese, the Good Shepherd Collection is our
designated charity for Lent. Last year, schools with the Archdiocese raised over £61,000. We
will be running the spare change appeal again this year. If you have any copper or other coins of low
value to donate—we will collect this in classes during Lent. Every penny helps.
NUGENT CARE PRAYER
Lord,
Bless each of us as we respond to
your Spirit’s invitation to
open wide the doors to Jesus.
Make the doors of our hearts,
our homes and communities
wide enough to receive all who need care,
love and friendship.
Make them narrow enough to shut out all envy and prejudice.
We make this prayer through
Christ our Lord
Amen.
School closes today
at 3.15pm and
re-opens Monday
22nd February.
LENT
YEAR OF MERCY
Your child will have
received a Lentern
Calendar with suggested
reflections and
activities.
Maybe you could try to
do some of them as a
family.
BRONZE STAR ATTENDANCE ASSEMBLY
Many congratulations to all the children who received their bronze stars.
