NCR RealPOS 70

In high-volume retailing environments, the NCR RealPOS 70 delivers exceptional value, performance and functionality in a modular solution. In addition to support for several NCR-built printers, keyboards, displays and cash drawers, new technologies such as biometrics and support for numerous operating systems are also available.

Blackboard-built POS Terminals

Used as a cash register or general POS terminal, the MaxiWedge, MidiWedge and MiniWedge are low-profile countertop POS terminals with an integrated card reader featuring full product control, cash accountability, tender method flexibility and reporting capabilities. Their rugged metal construction makes them tamper and abuse resistant—perfect for high-traffic environments. Each model features a spill-resistant flush keypad, a 2x20 character fluorescent display and detachable cords.

Keypads are user-definable based on time schedules. Seven separate keyboards can be configured and downloaded for use. Keyboard overlays can be replaced quickly and easily.

A unique feature of these terminals is PermaMemory—a mechanism that provides protection against communications loss by storing up to 10,000 transactions in an offline mode (5,000 for MiniWedge). The stored transactions are automatically uploaded when the terminal returns to an online mode. Integrated power loss protection ensures that stored transactions, configurations and menus are retained in memory. When power is restored, the terminal becomes fully operational in less than 30 seconds with no operator intervention.

The MaxiWedge and MidiWedge support up to 2,000 price look-ups (PLUs) while the MiniWedge supports up to 500 PLUs.

ACTIVITY READERSIn addition to several dedicated POS solutions, event / activ-ity access control is simplified with the Blackboard Activity Reader or Sequoia-Powered Wireless Reader. Both termi-nals offer commerce capabilities as well.

Blackboard Activity Reader (AT3000)

Combining activity and payment trans-actions in one convenient IP-enabled terminal, the Blackboard® AT3000 Ac-tivity Terminal is an economical coun-tertop or mountable card terminal that offers easy and direct access to internal privileges such as meal plan deductions, participation, eligibility, etc. This next-generation activity reader can either serve as a stand-alone unit or it can be located near an existing cash register, providing the cardholder with debit convenience.

This ergonomically-designed activity terminal supports internal tendering methods and specific activities. Internal tendering methods include meal / count point-based plans, credit / debit, flexible spending accounts (FSAs) and cash transactions with cash drawer support

The Blackboard AT3000 Activity Terminal supports a wide range of activities including voting, legal age verification and event access privilege.

Sequoia Wireless Card Terminal

When a wireless solution is required for purchasing or event / activity access, a wireless reader from Sequoia Retail Systems® meets organizational needs. Built upon Symbol® Technologies hardware and Sequoia’s ePOS, this device supports debit / credit, refund / deposit, balance inquiry, activity (yes / no) and count-based privileges for event entry and attendance tracking. This device can operate in either online or offline mode independent of the Blackboard Transaction System.
