As one of Australia’s major cultural collecting institutions and custodian of Queensland’s memory, State Library of Queensland (SLQ) supports a vibrant state-wide network of more than 320 public libraries and Indigenous Knowledge Centres.
The Office of the State Librarian (OSL) is a dynamic and high profile environment, which provides high level executive management and advice to the State Librarian & CEO. It encompasses Executive Support, Marketing and Communications, Strategy, Planning and Policy and the administration of the Queensland Library Foundation.
The Marketing and Communications branch is responsible for providing marketing, communication, design and audience development solutions for SLQ. It devises strategies that raise the awareness, patronage and the profile of SLQ’s services, collections and public programs.

Duties and responsibilities we’ll trust you with
Delivering high quality database administration services to support the development of a client relationship management framework for staff while meeting SLQ’s service commitments
Participating in a high performing Audience Development team in the delivery of information and statistics to clients. This includes delivering professional and responsive services, meeting key service objectives and organisational priorities
Managing and maintaining the Client Relationship Management database (CRM database) including undertaking data management to ensure that the range of the database functions meet client requirements and future expectations. This includes analysing, testing, establishing and/or modifying the database configuration, taking into account special client requirements such as cluster analysis or geocoding
Undertaking data mining, modelling and analysis for clients on a weekly, monthly and/or ad hoc basis. This also includes producing and interpreting information and providing specific reports to clients on subscribers, donors, community connections, external stakeholders and/or other constituents contained within the CRM database
Creating and maintaining data flows through coding and processes to ensure that the CRM database is linked to other business systems such as subscription forms, event registrations, email campaigns systems
Collaborating with the ICT team to provide advice, establish guidelines and maintain security controls for the CRM database. This includes maintaining and modifying the system attributes, security and integrity of the database as well as the assessment of risks and vulnerabilities. Monitoring of database activity, resource usage and providing forecasts for CRM database hardware resourcing would also be undertaken
Engaging with vendors and suppliers on software upgrades and technical issues to ensure the CRM is operating at a quality standard. This includes building and maintaining good working relationships so that system changes are made in an efficient, cost effective and timely manner
Participating in internal committees, projects and working groups while collaborating with other teams across SLQ. This includes providing high quality internal stakeholder engagement
Contributing to business improvement activities ensuring relevant policies, procedures and guidelines meet best practice and SLQ requirements. This includes a continuous improvement cycle for feedback, raising concerns and generating solutions
Working effectively with colleagues and peers while contributing to a productive and positive work environment in times of change and uncertainty. This includes being a proactive member of the Marketing & Communications team
Participating in, contributing to and/or managing financial, human resource and/or ICT responsibilities as per the organisational delegations

Highly desirable – experience in CRM database administration, programming and configuration in Raisers Edge, Blackboard CRM, MS Dynamics, Salesforce or similar
