Page 1: Black Sheep

Trailer begins by introducing film company.

Two consecutive establishing shots to introduce setting – quite different from other trailers as it’s quite light. Accompanied by diegetic sound of aeroplane.

Shots fade into next shot – text central screen, accompanied by gruff narration – typical conventions.

‘Miles from civilisation’ – telling story – you can see from setting they’re not in the UK or USA like other films looked at.Black background, bold black text.

Page 2: Black Sheep

Fade into first shot of character – mid-close up – normal, everyday clothes – middle aged man looking into distance.

Group over-the-shoulder shot, speech by man at the stand, people looking on, suits and business clothing – conference.

This opening is new to me as most other horror/spoofs begin with dark/scary settings and characters, the only give away of genre is the gruff narration.

Page 3: Black Sheep

Fast straight, jump cuts – showing gore – blood – introducing the horror element.

Chase section through woods – handheld camera – fades into medium close up of girl looking scared.

Page 4: Black Sheep

Medium close up of man in countryside – fields – open setting, could lead to danger.

Jump cut to wide shot of 2 sheep, stood neatly and straight looking at the camera.

You hear the noise of biting and violent acts whilst the farmer yells in pain and then you see what caused it.

Page 5: Black Sheep

Medium close up of a sheep – looking at the camera – scares audience.

The sheep are the killers in this film which is a new technique away from masked killers and zombies.

Wide shot of swarm of sheep coming over the hill, very low key lighting – night – sheep have glow in the dark eyes, look evil.

Page 6: Black Sheep

Humans hid in room anticipating the attack of the killer sheep – gun being held, introducing more violence.

Bold text, black and grey.

Short shots and quick cuts of the sheep attacking humans – close ups and extreme close ups.

Page 7: Black Sheep

Storyline getting more intense as audience watching trailer can see sheep transforming into monsters.

Mocking horror – Silence Of The Lambs – paired with the gruff narration.

The ‘A’ has a silhouette of a sheep – same technique used in the title for Shaun Of The Dead with a zombie hand.

Web information given so if someone wants to find out more they’re able to at ease. Put at the end of the trailer so it can be remembered.
