ABOUT BLACK PANTHERS

• The panther is similar to the leopard usually having an unmarked tawny body,

• A black panther’s size varies greatly according to where it lives and what it eats.

• They weigh anywhere from 65 to 200 pounds (29 to 91 kg)

• in length from three to seven feet (0.9 to 2.1 m), not including tails, which are about two to three feet

NATURAL HABITAT

• Black panthers, both black leopards and black jaguars, are found mainly in dense rainforest areas, but they can also be found in marshland, woodlands, swamps, savannahs, and even mountains and deserts

• black panthers are able to live in such variety of habitats is that they can eat many different types of animals

• Found in these countrys south-west China, Nepal, Burma, southern India, southern Malaysia and Java.

THREATS FROM HUMANS

• Black panthers, like all members of the big cat family, have no greaterenemy in nature than human beings.

• Human beings are moving into areas traditionally natural habitat.

• The environmental changes, which cause the loss and deterioration ofnatural habitats for black panthers, are also a big threat to blackpanthers.

• We can stop buying products made out of them

• We can help the police catch poachers from illegally killing them
