There are many traditions and customsall oer the country that are still carried on at harest-time today.

Lammas is a estial celebrating the 4rst ruits o harest theruits o our labours and seeing the desires that &e had at thestart o the year unold so rituals &ill be centred around this.Lammas is an early !hristian estial 8lammas8 means loa massand represented the 4rst loaes baked rom that years crop.

The aternoon on the day o 3ule # &ould go out in the garden and gather

plants and stones or &hat eer in the garden speak to me. # &ould gather it

into my $hamanic ritual bag and &hen # come in # &ould get my altar and

the room # use ready. in the room # &ould prepare a circle. Then # &ould take

a long meditatie bath cleansing mysel and don my robe. *pen my circle

and enter it in there # &ould ocus on the past year on all that happened then

# &ill hae a bo&l inront o me # call the nothing. in it there &ill be oil or

spirits. As # think o all the good things and the bad # &ould &rite them on

pieces o paper. the good things go in a &hite bo&l the bad things and the

things i need to let go # place on the oor ne6t to the bo&l o nothing. +hen #

am dont # &oudl light the bo&l o nothing and then take up each paper &ith

the negatie things on it look at it then dra& it out o mysel and into the

paper. letting it all into the bo&l o nothing &here it &ill burn. and as it burn

# &ill release it rom my lie. &hen # am dont # &ould open the circle and

thank the mother. then # &ould place the bo&l in the centre o the door

outside the circle. # &ill then proceed to enter the circle again close it andcleanse it &ith &hite sage smoke. # &ould then light the candles and bless

bless the good things that happened in this year and celebrate the ;oy o

being alie.at the end o the ritual # &ould break the circle take the plate o

ood thats let and the ashes o the good # celebrates and go out to the

ritual as its ery po&erul and take a lot o preparation# do hae a recipe #

made this bread. +e do a ritual o cleansing and release on the day o each

holiday it is relatiely the same ;ust minor changes or each.

Method:

1-,ut all dry ingredients in a bo&l e6cept the yeast

2-isole honey in &arm &ater and let it cool till its body heat. then add the

yeast to it stir &ell and let it rise then add to the dry mi6.

)-add the rest o the &et ingredients in and stirr &ell.

0-,our into a lined bread tin and bake at 1IJ grades celcius or till the knie

come out clean.
