Some blacks have invented objects we use and look at everyday such as wooden clock from Benjamin Banneker, a pencil sharpener from John love, the first hot comb Walter Sammons, and the first folding cabinet bed Sarah Goode. Many African-Americans have invented many things the list can go on and on no matter what color you are you can invent accomplish and come up with amazing ideas, Here are some of the accomplished goals African Americans have made. The first black female artist to be introduced into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987 was Aretha Franklin, Fist licensed African-American pilot in the world was Bessie Coleman, the first African-American Broadway musical to every be written and directed my an African American was James “Eubie” Blake. Last but not least and my favorite is Madam CJ. Walker the first African-American self-made woman millionaire. Black history months means a lot to me also because I’m an African-American all these great leaders and inventors show me that I can accomplish anything I want. Here are some famous quotes from Malcom X , Rosa Parks, and Martin Luther King, Jr. ‘Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs for those who prepare for it today “~Malcom X , “Stumbling is not failing”~Malcom X, and “If you’re not ready to die for it , put the word ‘freedom’ out of your vocabulary”~Malcom X. Now from Rosa Parks “Each person must live their life a model for others”~ Rosa Parks, ”The only tired I was, was tired of giving in “~Rosa Parks, “ you must never be fearful about you’re your doing when it is right”~ Rosa Parks. The last 3 our quotes from Martin Luther King, Jr.’The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character- that is the goal of true education.”~ Martin Luther King Jr. ‘We must except finite disappointment , but never lose infinite hope”~Martin Luther King, Jr.The last quote is this one.” Change does not role in on the wheels of inevitability but comes through continuous struggle. And so we must straighten our backs and work for our freedom. A man can’t ride your back unless your back is bent”. ~Martin Luther King Jr. this one’s my favorite because to me it says that no one can take advantage of you unless you allow them to.
