1:1 Scale Gillman wall-hanger Black Heart‘s 1:1 scale Gillman resin wall-hanger, inspired by the 1954 film, Creature from the Black Lagoon, was sculpted by Mark Van Tine. The Gillman wall-hanger stands 19 inches tall and retails for $235 + $35 U.S. shipping.

1:1 Scale 360⁰ Series Bust Available is our 1:1 scale 360 Series Gillman bust. Also sculpted by Mark Van Tine, the add-on kit consists of a base which holds the bust upright and increases the height of the bust about 3 inches. On the back of the base is a Black Lagoon map in relief. Also included is the Gillman’s hand resting on a piece of driftwood. The 360° Series bust sells for $325 plus $40 shipping. For the add-on kit (hand and base with map only), the price is $100 plus $35 U.S. shipping.

2020 Badger/Black Heart Airbrushing and Finishing Class at WonderFest Registration is now open for the Badger/Black Heart airbrushing and finishing class at WonderFest 2020 in Louisville, Kentucky. The class will run from 9am through 3pm Friday May 29, 2020. The painting subject will be Black Heart’s new 1:2 scale Gorgon bust sculpted by Daniele Danko Angelozzi. The bust stands 14 inches tall and features 22 snake heads, each from one of 6 species (Anaconda, Python, Viper, Rattlesnake, Cobra, and Black Mamba) and accurately sculpted right down to the scales that are characteristic of that species. The bust is assembled like a puzzle and needs gluing only for the tongues of a few of the snakes. The rest of the model is easily assembled (and disassembled) with the assistance of strong magnetic plugs embedded in the models parts. This is one of Black Heart’s most detailed and well-designed busts.

The headliners for the class will again be Jeff Camp and Gordon Oberman and the class will be limited to the first 25 participants to register. As always, the class will use Badger Air-brush products provided to all participants. The class offers two options: Option A (full package) includes a Badger airbrush and compressor, 12 bottles of Badger paints, Black Heart’s 1:2 scale Gorgon bust, and six hours of expert instruction. The cost for Option A is $400. Option B (economy package) includes everything in Option A except the compressor. Compressors will be provided for folks choosing this option to use during the class. Joel Harlow’s Necronomicon

After three years in development, Black Heart will finally release The Necronomicon, an original sculpture by Emmy and Oscar award winning make-up and creature FX artist Joel Harlow. This book sculpture is 12 inches tall, 11 inches wide and 3-1/2 inches deep, cast in resin and features subjects, themes, characters and places described in the writings of H.P. Lovecraft. It’s a big-ass, bad-ass book, different than anything you have ever seen.

Included is an original Lovecraft-inspired story about Necronomicon’s history and its influence on Mr. Harlow and his career. We will start accepting orders in February. Check our website Store for price and availability.

G-FEST is the largest regular gathering of Godzilla and

Japanese monster fans in the world. Held each summer, it

typically attracts more than 1000 attendees, but has seen a

gradual increase in attendance over the past few years.

G-FEST is a family-oriented convention which caters to a
