BEARDSELL LIMITED was incorporated on 23.11.1936 under theIndian Companies Act, 1913. In 1937, it promoted a Textilemanufacturing unit by name METTUR INDUSTRIES Limited and

got amalgamated with it in 1967 and became Mettur BEARDSELLLimited. With its diversified activities in Exports, Textiles,Insulation and Contracting, Packaging, Consultancy Services andMarketing Agencies, Mettur Beardsell became BEARDSELLLIMITED in 1983.

With a strong four decade experience, Beardsell presents itself as apoineer in the field of Insulation at par with the latest internationaltrends. With what started as a manufacturing facility for ExpandedPolystyrene, we have been able to explore breakthrough in the field

of Insulation Turnkey contracting spreading our activities to HotInsulation and Cold insulation contracts, False ceiling, Partitions,Acoustics, Cold Storage constructions, Prefab Building to name afew.

We have the expertise and a dedicated team to confront even theremotest challenge. This we could achieve purely by efficientProject Management and construction management skills combinedwith the latest equipments and efficient manpower. None the less,we could counter cost overrun to a great extent. The Geography

and topography of the place of work is the last problem we facesince we have proved ourselves best by executing jobs in the mosttrying conditions like in the case of high altitude tenements at Leh,Kashmir.

EXPANDED POLYSTYRENE

Made from Styrene Monomer, EPS as it is generally called is our

main stream product with manufacturing facilities spread over

West Bengal, Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh,

Karnataka &Delhi collectively catering to the needs of all corners

of our Country. Finished Goods are in the form of Slabs or

Pipesections with Branch Name Metoplast, Hotpacks and Ice

Boxes for food products with Brand Name Igloo. The products

are manufactured in various densities depending on the end

use.

STRUCTURAL INSULATED SANDWICH PANELS

This is one of our prestigious products with manufacturing

technology from Isowall U.K. With the Brand Name Isobuild,

the composition of the product is EPS Slab sandwiched between

imported pre-coated steel, bonded with specially formulated Poly

Urethane adhesive. Panels are manufactured in 1180 mm

standard width and length as per customer requirement.

Density of the core material ranges from 16 Kg/M3 to 18 Kg/M3.

Panel to panel jointing is by way of male female tongue and

groove joint.

POLYURETHANE FOAM

Beardsell boasts of having manufacturing facility for the alternate

insulating material namely Polyurethane Foam. Based at Malur,

we bring out PUF in various densities and thickness. Finished

products are subject to stringent quality control and products are

accompanied by relevant Test Certificates indicating all relevant

process parameters. Product range includes slabs and pipe

sections and high density pipe supports.

SERVICES OFFERED

HOT INSULATION: Beardsell is in the forefront of Hot Insulating

Contracting job for Refineries, Petrochemicals, Chemical and

other process industries. Hot Insulation is undertaken for

vessels, reactors, pipelines, etc. Insulating Material or Fibre

Glass Wool or Rock Wool with finishing of either aluminium of GI

cladding. Temperature range is 0 to approx.500o C. For higher

temperature application ceramic fibre is used.

COLD INSULATION: Since Beardsell manufactures both EPS

and PUF, Cold Insulation is undertaken as per customer

specification. The temperature application is as low as 200oC.

Structural insulated sandwich panel is also used in the

construction of cold storages involving temperature as low as

40oC (as in the case of Marine Cold Storages)

FALSE CEILING: Beardsell executes false ceiling jobs with

material comprising EPS, Gypsum Board, AC Sheets, Particle

Board, fibrous Board like Amstrong, Bison, Calcium Silicate as

the case may be. False Ceiling using lineal sheets like Luxalon,

Half perforated glaze aluminium sheets and tiles are also used

in sectors like IT and Power Plants. Grid work for the above

cases are normally GI/Al Tee and angle sections with proper

locking facilities.

ACOUSTIC INSULATION: The method of application for acoustic

insulation comprises perforated sheets as the first exposed layer

followed by sound absorbent layer which is predominantly loose

glass fibre wool. Sound level testing is done by d.b MeasuringInstruments.

STRUCTURAL: Beardsell undertakes turnkey structural

fabrication jobs for Cold Storages and others. We have to our

credit fabricating and erecting MS super structure with an

unsupported span of around 36 Mtrs.

using MS Channel and Angle Sections supported on MS I

Beams. Design conformity is checked using STAD III package.

INPLANT MAINTENANCE: Beardsell has a separate wing which

caters to the manpower needs of maintenance of production

units and corporate houses. We have a data bank comprising

Engineers, Supervisors, Technicians, Fitters, Welders and

Riggers in almost all the trades required for inplant maintenance

round the clock. Specialised tools and tackles are made

available in adequate quantity to enable efficient execution of

maintenance jobs.

WEATHER PROOFING AND ALLIED WORKS: Beardsell has

over a period of time executed jobs like Roof tiling for industrialand domestic sectors, coating and wrapping of UG pipelines

bitumastic flooring for industries and water proofing work using

bitumen based material.

THERMAL ENERGY AUDIT

It is evident that Energy conservation is a slogan of the present

century. Considering the increasing cost of fuel and manpower

conserving energy is a prime concern for any industrial house.

Beardsell on understanding this phenomena have entered this

area to cater to the energy needs of various industries. We

conduct Energy Audit in the following sequence of operation.

Checking the temperature of the insulation during working

condition

Checking temperature loss at joints like valves,

instrumentation etc.

Checking ambient temperature and wind velocity.

Quality check of available insulation

Computing energy loss based on operating data vis--vis

design data

Suggesting corrective measures and implementing the same.

Post audit check of process parameters.

Cost of corrective measure and pay back period

Submission of proposal to customer
