2.1 Group Activity

Notes to the teacher:

1. Print out the question cards and cut them along the dotted lines. You can also print out the cards on stickers and paste them on index cards, so that you can reuse them.

2. Distribute the cards to your students – one person per card. If you have a large class, divide the class into two groups and distribute cards accordingly.

3. Ask the students to pair up with a partner, take turns to ask their question on the card, and listen carefully to the answer. Model the correct answer if necessary. Once both students have asked and answered the questions, swap their question card with each other and find a new partner to repeat the activity.

Directions to the students:

After receiving a question card from your teacher, pair up with a partner, ask him/her the question on your card, and listen carefully to the answer. If the answer is incorrect, explain the correct answer to your partner. Your partner will then ask you the question on his/her card. Once both of you have asked and answered the questions, swap your question cards and find a new partner to repeat the activity.
