This tool is great for keepingmesses out of the machine's hose system.1.At tach the Sta in Trapper too l to the endof the hose.2. Gently scrape up any semi-solids with a spoonor spa tu l a . Do not use a knife or other utensilwith sharp edges because it could damage thecarpet or upholstery.3. Follow instructions 3-6 on page 9 under"Cleaningwith attachments".NOTE:Do not l l l lthe Slain Trapper tankabove the FULLllne.4 . To empty the Sta in Trapper tool , rotate 4-the smal l tank on the bot tom of the toolto unlock it.NOTE:Be careful to keep the top at the toolfacing upwa r d or soiled water wlllspill out ofthe tank.5. Dump dirty water into a sink or toilet andrinse the tank out with clean water. Replacethe tank by lining up the "unlock" symbol withthe small arrow on the tank and turning it tothe "lock" symbol.6. Water rinse (recommended). Rinsingis an optional step that can be done during thecleaning process or after the carpeted area hasbeen completed. Empty the heavy-duty bladderif necessary. and refill with hot tap water only.Replace the tank on the machine. Take care todo a forward (wet) stroke by depressing thetrigger. and a backward (wet) stroke, followed bya forward and backward (dry) stroke, releasingthe tr igger. Stain removalDo Not Delay! Attending to an accident soonafter it occurs ensures the most optimal clean.Leavingit for an extended period of time maycause it to set and become permanent.1.Blot up liquids with an absorbent cloth orpaper towels.White materialsare recommendedbecause certain dyes may bleed and make thestain worse.2. Gently scrape up any semi-solids with a spoonor spatula. Do not use a knife or other utensilwuthsharp edges because it could damage thecarpet or upholstery.3. If the area has already dried, separate andremove from the carpet whatever semi-solidsand residue that can be accessed before deepcleaning.4. Be sure to test any spot removal formulas inan inconspicuous area first. This is important assome dyes and materials could be damaged ordiscolored by cleaning solvents. If such a changeshould occur, try a different solution or call aprofessional.5. If c leaning on Berber carpeting, gently runyour machine over a hidden area. If no fuzzingoccurs, continue cleaning in soiled area.6. Using the BISSELLTough Stain Pretreat. sprayevenly over soiled area. Do not overwet. Wait3-5 minutes. Gently work the solution by blottingarea with a clean. damp, color safe c l o t h ,7. Clean large areas with the DeepClean Premiermachine or use the hose to clean spots. stainsand hard-to-reach areas.

a. Fill the 2-in-1 water tank with clean hottap water.b. Recline the handle and press the spraytrigger for 15secondswhile making forwardand backward passeson carpet. Releasethetrigger to suction. Repeat for another 15 sec‑onds. Continue without pressing the triggeruntil there is no more water being suctioned.

2. Push the power button to turn the machineoff. Unplug the machine and wrap the powercord. Em p t y the 2-in-1water tank.3. Rinse out 2-in-1water tank with hot tap water,taking care to clean underneath the heavy dutybladder and all around it.4. The top half of the tank can be rinsed cleanthrough the nozzlearea.Clear the red fil ter ofany debris tha t may have accumula ted ,5. Keeping the 2»in-1water tank off the base ofthe machine. simply remove the floor nozzle byturn ing the lock ing keys (see image for locat ion)to the "unlock" position and lift up . Rinsethefloor nozzle at the faucet.6. Any loose hair or debris can be pulled fromthe brush rol lsand thrown away.For the mostthorough clean before storage, follow directionsbelow for removal and replacement of the brushrolls and belts.7. Replace nozzle by lining up the locking keyswith their slots and placing the nozzle and endcaps back onto the foot of the machine. Securein to p lace by turn ing the lock ing keys to the“lock” position.8. To clean attachments that may have beenused. remove from hose and rinse under clean.running water. Dry and replaceattachment in thehose rack. Clean the hose by suct ioning cleanwater from the tap. Before replacing, l i f t endof hose and stretch out to ensure allwater iscleared from hose. Refer to page 9.9. To clean the suction diverter, remove the twoscrews on the back of the diverter housing. Takethe diverter housing to a sink and rinse it withwater.
