JOIN TRELLO FOR MORE OPPORTUNITIES!
Trello is an amazing organizational tool that we use as a club to keep track of all our to-do lists
etc. This is also where you can see what opportunities are available in the club to help you get
more involved! To get on the Trello board (IT IS FREE), create an account at trello.com, and send
[email protected] your username! If you want to learn how to use Trello, check out the
Member Guide!
THE ENGINEERING AND TECH EXPO IS COMING!
On THIS Wednesday, September 28th from 10am-3pm in the FargoDome is the event for which
most of us have been waiting…. THE Expo. Make sure that you are preparing yourself even as
early as now to ensure that you put your best foot forward to set you up for career success!
There are a variety of ways to get ready: vamp up your resume, construct and perfect a concrete
introduction, scope out the companies at the Expo with the app, and more!
Fun with Fundraising!
There was recently a meeting to discuss the fundraising plan for the club. If you are interested in
helping out with this in any way (eg. Talking to sponsors, planning/running events, etc.), be sure
to attend! Also, if you have any potential sponsorship ideas or business connections, email them

The team is now registered for the
competition! There is now also
another opportunity to program
another snowplow, so if you are
interested, email Brady ASAP! All
members of the snowplow group need
to have access to Auxiliary Enterprise.
Shop training signups for this are
outside the Mechanical Engineering
office for September 30th.
At the last meeting, members
discussed software options, and will
either be using Unity or Unreal Engine.
Regular meetings for this group in
general are held every Wednesday at
7pm in the QBB. Sam is stepping down,
and so the group will be electing a new
project lead. If you are interested in
this position, let her know, and prepare
a presentation for the next meeting,
which is this Wednesday.
Upcoming Volunteer Events:
Bison Brainstorm: Oct. 5th, 6-8pm, MU
Ballroom
FLL Training (for mentors only): Oct.
6th, 3:30-6:30pm
Minnesota Robotics Invitational
(MRI): Oct 14-15 in Roseville, MN

information if you are interested!
More details and signups for each of
these will be sent out via email as the

This group is essentially a Learn-to-
Code group that deals mainly with C
and C++. This group will present
amazing opportunities to and benefit
members majoring in computer
engineering or otherwise! ICCC now
has biweekly meetings!! Contact Joe
with any questions or concerns!

The two quadcopter projects are going well. The innovation quad is still in the brainstorm stage, but great progress is being made! As for the racing quad, the group just recently received funding, so the process of building this one can commence as well! The next group meeting for the quads will be October 5th at 6pm in Dolve 117.
NRMC has completed the bucket
design, and the electrical subgroup is
making admirable progress! If you
would like to learn more about NRMC
(or any of the projects), check out the
BR website! Also, Friday
Programming Parties have
commenced!

Miscellaneous/Other:
Any questions? Lost on where to begin or how to do something or even what there
is to do? Check out the Bison Robotics Member Guide! This will be your best non-
human friend; I promise you. If you have something that you think should be added
to it, email [email protected]!

The project lead for Battle Bots has
been decided for this academic year!
Kevin King will now be heading up all
bot-battling efforts on the Bison
Robotics front. Last Monday, the
group began the brainstorming part
of the design process and submitted
its budget to Student Government for
reimbursement review! The next
meeting is Oct. 3rd in a computer lab
TBD.
Robot in 3 Days is one of BR’s most
intense events being that members
are tasked with creating a fully-
functional robot in a mere 72 hours.
This event will take place in January,
but planning and prep is starting now!
The first meeting was this past
Thursday; keep an eye out for more
updates, and join the BlackBoard
group if you are interested!
The group is almost done with the
mechanical additions to Hank, the
robot. Programmers are working on
coding the DC and stepper drivers
currently. After this is complete, the
electrical group will move on to
working on these. Weekly meetings
are 5pm on Mondays in Dolve 204.
Stay piqued, geeks.
