Question for Youth: Jesus tells us that through the Eucharist we will remain in him and he is us. How does the Eucharist keep you in relationship with Jesus?

The Most Holy Trinity
Go . . . and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. -- Matthew 28:19

Quo vadis… Reprint of May 31 e-bulletin QV
My Dear Parishioners & Friends: This coming Sunday we will celebrate the Solemnity of The Most Holy Trinity. Last Sunday, Pentecost, we celebrated the power given to us by the Spirit to forgive one another. On this Sunday honoring the Trinity we ponder the Source of all forgiveness, our merciful and loving God. We are invited to be gracious as God is gracious. It is awesome to think that God invites us to share in such a great mystery as the Trinity! It seems as though God’s graciousness never ends—not only with sending the Son but further with inviting us into God’s saving work. In this context we might think of the simple, ordinary ways we reach out to others—a smile, a helping hand, a kind word—as ways we actually manifest the mystery and majesty of our Triune God. Such love as this can only be matched by those who share the divine life!
Last weekend we posted a communique from His Excellency, The Most Reverend Bishop of Trenton regarding the limited and gradual re-opening of our Church buildings for the celebration of the Sacred Liturgy and the Sacraments. The document clearly articulated guidelines to be implemented throughout our Diocese of Trenton in order to be consistent and provide the very best pastoral care for the People of God. Each parish must discern how to make these guidelines a reality for the local community.
THE PARISH OF SAINT MARY, COLTS NECK 07722
Sunday Communion Service will be offered 7 June 2020. Please arrive BEFORE 11:00 am. Masks must be worn. Social/physical distancing must be observed. Maintaining a quiet, prayerful and reverential environment is necessary so that our time together is truly sacred. I am so grateful to all who have participated these past weeks. It has been prayerful and encouraging to me as we begin to emerge from the “tomb” of our homes.
Sunday Mass will resume 14 June 2020 at 8 am, 10 am, and 12 noon. Participation will require online pre-registration. See next 2 pages for details and expectations. (Saturday anticipatory Mass will not begin until 5 pm 11 July 2020)
Daily Mass will resume Monday, 15 June at 9 am in the Church. Personal masks will be required. Social/physical distancing must be observed. No online pre-registration required. Volunteers will be needed to assist in cleaning pews each day following Mass.
Mass Intentions will continue be satisfied through private Mass when there is not a public Mass. Saturday Mass Intentions will be recorded and broadcast as the virtual weekend Mass until Saturday Mass resumes.
Sacrament of Penance & Reconciliation (confession) will resume Saturday, 11 July 2020 at 4:00 pm. Those who may have a grave need for this sacrament may contact the parish office for an appointment.
Sacrament of Baptism: Those who have already registered as well as those wishing to register for Baptism should contact the parish office for direction and details.
Sacrament of Matrimony: Those who have begun the preparation process should contact Deacon John Wedemeyer to continue. Those wishing to begin the process should contact the parish office. As always we ask that couples contact the church prior to securing the reception facility.
Faith Formation/Religious Education will continue as announced. We are not permitted to offer in person summer programming this year. Our parish staff persons will continue to inform and advise all families as information becomes available. Many of the parish adult programs have continued virtually.
www.stmaryscoltsneck.org June 7, 2020 5
Outreach ministries and charitable support continue. Our parish buildings remain closed for in person meetings; therefore, many of the support groups that meet here each week are not able to resume at this time. This causes me great concern for those most vulnerable among us. As soon as we are able to provide a safe place we will resume offering a place for these groups to resume their important support among us. Food collections and financial support continue to be distributed as needed/requested.
EXPECTATIONS AS WE PREPARE TO GATHER FOR MASS
On-line pre-registration is the best way for us as a community to be welcoming and prayerful while adhering to the strict expectation of maintaining 1/3 our official capacity. That magic number is 200 persons. Each Monday morning, beginning 8 June 2020, the pre-registration site will go live. Parishioners can choose which Mass. An email confirmation will be sent. Bring this confirmation email with you to present to those who will be at the center main doors. There will be personnel there to insure pre-registration, that each person is wearing their mask and to advise that social distancing is to be observed when entering/exiting, selecting a seat, processing/recessing to receive Holy Communion. Those who do not have computer accessibility may contact the parish office at 732-780-2666 ext x311 to be entered into the system. Those who are considered at risk or those overwhelmed by this process may, as we are transitioning to our customary practice, choose to come to daily Mass. I am not suggesting this as a regular practice. I suggest this as we transition from virtual Mass on TV to the celebration of a full Sunday Mass Schedule. I have consulted parish leaders and there has been support for this approach. It will require all to come earlier than usual to be processed and to search for seating that observes social distancing. Because of this entrance will be restricted once the Mass has begun. Therefore, the 07722 practice of gracefully wandering into the church 2 minutes, 12 minutes, 17 minutes after the Mass has begun will not be possible at this time. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Masks and Social/Physical distancing are required.
There can be no physical collection of Stewardship Offerings; Two designated boxes will be placed in the Narthex/Gathering Space for the placement of envelopes or offerings. Thank you for your generosity.
Missals, Missalettes, Bulletins, and other papers have been removed.
Holy Water has been drained from all locations.
Parish Clergy will distribute Holy Communion; we ask all coming forth to observe distancing front to back and side to side.
There will be janitorial personnel to clean the lavatories throughout the hours when Mass is being celebrated; the entire floor of the church is to be mopped with disinfectant in between each Mass; we will need volunteers to help wipe down the wooden section of each pew in between each Mass…those interested in volunteering may contact Andrew Macirowski.
We have been advised that socializing before or after the Mass inside or outside is to be discouraged; clergy are not permitted to greet parishioners before or after the Mass.
It is my hope that attendance can be raised to 50% capacity within a few weeks. Once this has been adopted we will no longer require pre-registration.
I think that covers most of it. Again, you are awesome for putting up with all of this. It is the only way we can begin to re-convene to celebrate our Sacred Rites. I know that this is not what I signed up for in my life…but we just need to get on with it. Your prayers and support and homemade foods have helped to sustain me these months. Know that I continue to pray each day for you and your families. May Mary, Seat of Wisdom, continue to intercede for us. Peace. Father Jeff

To our Summer RE Families: We had hoped to be able to offer our Summer religious education program utilizing our parish facilities. Following the advice of the Governor and our Bishop, it has been determined that we must shift to a remote learning format for our summer program. You are probably aware that we make use of Catholic school teachers in our summer program. Like your child's current school teacher(s), they have been teaching remotely for the past two months and will bring that experience to our program. We will be working with them to make the summer program a great and enjoyable learning experience. We are sure that your child's current familiarity with the online learning format will make for a smooth transition. We are still working on the particulars with our teachers and will share with you all the details as soon as we put the finishing touches on it. To respect your scheduling choice, we will be sticking to the dates for the 2 summer sessions. Although not yet firmed up, it is likely that we will conduct the classes between 9 a.m. and noon for the 10 days of each session.
I would also like to take this opportunity to let you know that we are adding a new member to our staff. Julia Cullen, a parishioner who has been serving as a catechist and lector, will be assuming responsibility for the religious education of the children in grades 1-6 beginning July 1. We will be working together on this year's summer program.

“Wisdom is seeing with God’s eyes.” – Pope Francis Scripture and the Tradition of the Catholic Church provide an abundance of wisdom, though it can often be challenging to apply it to our lives. To help you learn to gather and live with greater wisdom, the Church of St. Mary will begin Wisdom: God’s Vision for Life on Tuesday, June 16 at 7:30 p.m. or Wednesday, June 17, at 10:00 a.m. online via a Zoom session. There will be 8 sessions. Each registrant will receive the textbook and will have access to all the online videos. For more information visit AscensionPress.com, or contact Jim Bridges at [email protected]. You will not only benefit personally from being part of this study; you will also help us to grow in fellowship as a parish as we grow closer to Christ together. Register Online here More Information: Wisdom invites you to experience the transforming power of taking time to apply God’s wisdom to your own life. You will learn to see with his vision. You will experience the peace of knowing God cares for you, and you will see how God—and only God—can show you a path through any circumstance.
Participants of Wisdom will receive a journal and will meet every week to view an engaging video presentation followed by a time of lively group discussion and fellowship. The eight 30-minute videos, presented by Jeff Cavins, will guide you through a variety of themes drawn from the wisdom literature of Scripture. Jeff will explain Scripture’s wisdom on decision-making, finances, relationships, peace of mind, and speaking to one another and will look at the beauty of wisdom gained through age and at how Christ himself is the embodiment and fulfillment of all wisdom.
