Reflections on the Life of Bishop A nna R ee Johnson Cam pbellLife for Anna began on February 2, 192o in Green Pond, SC and she grew up inCharleston, SC. She was born to Henry and Susie Bryant and she was one of three children(two girls and a boy). Her sister preceded her in death. She was educated in the South Carolina school system, and was employed at theAmerican Tobacco Company for approximately 20years. She later moved with her familyto Philadelphia, PA then pursued a career as a private duty nurse for a few years.Afterwards, she was employed as a nurse's assistant at the Holy Redeemer Hospital, whereshe ultimately retired. While living in Charleston, SC, Anna joined the Church of the Living God under thepastorate of the late Elder James Ravenell upon moving to Philadelphia, PA sheconnected with the House of God Church under the Pastorate of the late Bishop Pasco. As afaithful member of the Church of the Living God, she served under the fine leadership of the

late Bishop N. Randall and many others, up to her present pastor, Bishop Lessie Williams. As a long-term faithful member of the Church of the Living God, Bishop Campbellwas a Pastor of a small mission, an Elder, then promoted to the Bishop's Staff under thelate Bishop N. A. Manning. She was the head Church Mother at her church location, sheworked in the kitchen ministry, sang with the Jubilee Choir, served on the Pastor's AideCommittee, and was one of the best dressed women in the organization. Yes, she was the"headliner DIVA" Her straight-forward manner of correction would help keep the saintsin line when they would be tempted to go astray. She mothered so many and took themunder her wings of love. Even if their feelings got hurt, she would make them some lamb,

brown rice, collard greens with turnips, a cake and then everything would be all right.Mother, as she was fondly called was the epitome of love, and lived her life withdignity and pride, leaving a perfect example of what it takes to be a real classy lady.Left to cherish fond memories of her are: a devoted daugh ter: EarnestineMoorehead (Earnest); one loving b rother: Henry Bryant (Ella); Nin e Dear G randchildren:Chiqquetta Dean (Reginald), Anthony (Donna), David, Melea, Arthur, Dana (Tamara),Gloria, David (Danean), Tasha (Anthony); Tw o Daughters in-law : Tarn Levine and Audrey

Tribute to our BelovedGrandmother Anna Johnson-Campbell

She hugs and kisses her loved ones at Heaven's gate; Then shares with them the joy of her new found fate. She goes on an d on about the ones she left behind; It's going to take a while becauseShe was Grandmom to all mankind. Now God bestows the heavenly rewards upon her head;As always, she shares them with others instead. She now receives the deed to her new heavenly man sion;To m ake room for all of u...She's already planning the expQ nsion.

Heaven's newest garden is now in bloom; She started working on it, as soon as she left the room.No t being able to work in the soil now for some time,I am sure her smile is brighter than summer's sunshine. So now Grandmom wished for all to understand,That God is the key to the Eternal Land.If you choose Him before it's too late,Then you will meet Grandmom again at heaven's gate.A M essage from Y our Pastor:. .
