“A Light of God’s Love”

God’s Revelation to North Anderson Baptist is…”To honor and glorify God through worship, prayer, teaching, community service and mission opportunities.”
Volume 17 Issue 9 September 2016
From Your Pastor...
One of the things I run up against a lot in the ministry
are people who have had trouble forgiving others who
have wronged them. We have a Savior who gave His
life to reconcile us to God and if He can do that He can
help us be reconciled to others who have hurt us. Much of our problem is
that we don’t want to be reconciled, we love holding a grudge. Many
times we have said we have forgiven others but then we talk like we
haven’t and even at times make very clear to other people of our grudge
and we continue to sin in the eyes of God.
It is hard to hear, “I am just human” for a reason to sin against God in this
way. Once Christ dwells in us we have His ability to love and forgive.
When we sin like this it not only breaks the relationship with a person but
mostly with God. How tragic that is. We all need to realize that when
we willfully sin that God does not hear our prayers!
If there is no forgiveness there is no peace. You wonder why things go
wrong and times are hard for you; look at your life and see if there are
relationships which you have not reconciled and people whom you have
no desire to love and may even hate! Jesus wants so much for us to be
honest with ourselves and with Him. He is ready to hear our cry of help
and will forgive us when we are ready to throw down hate and grudges so
He can redeem our broken relationships.

Pastors,
It is time for Christians to get involved with the leader-
ship and governance of our communities. Men and
women have made laws that support issues against bibli-
cal beliefs: 52 million babies have been aborted since
1971. Madalyn O’Hair and the Supreme Court have
taken God and prayer out of our schools. Christians
around the world are being persecuted for being Christian.
Men can marry men and women can marry women.
Transgender individuals can choose what bathroom they
want to use. Government is mandating policy on compa-
nies and individuals that go against Christian beliefs and
principles. Merry Christmas is offensive, and the Ten
Commandments are taken down. Satanic groups want to
access our schools. Time for action is NOW!
Pastors, please represent your
church at this year’s Cross Conven-
tion. If you cannot make it, send a
Deacon, or someone from your
church. Every church represented,
Amen! NOT A POLITICAL EVENT.

HERE’s HOW!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
During September and October we will be col-
lecting food items for the "We're Here for You"
South Carolina Baptist statewide project. Food
will be given to needy people around the state on
Saturday, November 12. We are asking each
Sunday School class to bring non perishable
foods/canned goods to their class room for the
food give away at Saluda Baptist Associa-
tion. We need canned goods, rice, dried beans,
and cereals. Please be sure that the expiration
date is later than November 12. We will have a
special breakfast in November for the classes
who bring the most items per class member. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Also, anyone who knits or crochets is asked to
consider making the stocking cap type hats for
the Seafarer's Ministry. We will need them
around Dec. 1. These will be sent to Charleston
to be given to seamen who come into the ports on
ships. Please contact Diana Beall or Judy Brown
for instructions. We also can provide yarn for
anyone who needs it ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Caring Hands meeting at Mary Simmons house on Friday, September 16th at 10 am. We’ll also do some knitting, crocheting with n inspirational devotion. Please mark your calendars now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
God’s Gifted Hands Meeting Friday, September 30th at 10 am in the children’s classroom at the church. We will be tagging and preparing items to be sent out, some knitting, crocheting with an inspirational devotion.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
NABC “God’s Gifted Hands” Ministry has place prayer shawls & lap blankets in the church sanc-tuary. These shawls/lap blankets are for you to use in the church sanctuary. Ladies of this minis-try have crocheted or knitted, and have spent many hours praying over them. Please do not remove the items from the sanctuary so that others can be wrapped in prayer’s and praises to God.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As ALWAYS with NABC you Don’t Have to Be A Member to Join In and “Get Involved.”

15th
anniversary as our administrative assistant.
Collection dates for her 15th anniversary
love offering will be September 1st -21st with
presentation on Sunday, September 25th.
North Anderson Baptist Personnel Team
would like to congratulate
Dennis Walker, Administration &
Minister to Children on his 7th anniversary
here at North Anderson.
From your Director of Administration & Education…
It is August, the last days of summer are here and school will be starting up this week
as I write this article. I can’t believe another school year is here. My youngest will be
leaving for college this week and our nest will be empty.
I know that it will take a few weeks to get back into the swing of things especially with
your children or even trying to get to work with all the school buses on the road. What
I don’t want you to forget is that through it all don’t forget to take time for some quite
time with God. This month the church will be starting small group Sunday Evening
classes on the 11th.
Please make sure that you pick up a flyer about our Bible Study courses and or see the
poster. We are offering a 6 week course on Lifestyle Evangelism taught by Bob and
Pam Parker, A 12 week women’s class taught by Anita Donley, Matt Ball will be teach-
ing a 12 week course on How and Why America has falling away from its Christian
Foundation, and there will be an exercise class in the gym. All of these will start at 6
pm on Sunday nights. We will also have a Bible Study on Wednesday nights in addition
to our Prayer Meeting. It will start on September 7th. Please make every effort to join
us on Sunday evenings for more Bible Study.
