Zoo Atlanta offers special birthday party packages and plenty of entertainment options that are sure to fit your style.

Our Package includes meals and admission tickets for 16 friends and family members while you enjoy our Publix Party Pavilion for 90 minutes.

Animal EncountersHave a special guest visit your event with an Animal Encounter add-on! An educator can visit your event with two small animals. Your Catering Sales Manager can share a list of potential visitors; please see the list below for potential animals available.

Keep in mind we do not take any requests for specific animals, as the animal care professional will determine which animals are available for an encounter the day of your event.

Face Painting: Consider the addition of a face painter or caricaturist to your event! If you choose this option, we recommend having one face painter or caricaturist for every 10 guests who may want to partic-ipate in this activity. Each artist is priced at a 90-minute timeframe. Bean Bag Toss: Hone your tossing skills with this fun kid-friendly version of cornhole. Includes mini bean bags, two ice cream dream cone stands, two monkey business stands and Astroturf lawn covering! Add to my event: $75

Dress-up Photo Station: Make your party memorable with a dress-up photo session for the kids and adults! Get some fun photos with your guests using Zoo props. What's a party these days when you don't have the "Instagrammable” moment to share on social media! Add to my event: $60

What is the parking situation?We recommend arriving at least 45 minutes prior to their scheduled birthday party time, as parking fills up quickly. If there is no parking in the Cherokee Avenue parking lot, street parking is available. Please note there is not an option to load in your party items at the front gate, nor is there a cart the Zoo provides to help load the items from your car.

Where do my guests enter?All birthday guests can use any of our available front admission gates.

Can I bring decorations to the Publix Birthday Party Pavilion?You can bring your own decorations, but please let your Catering Sales Manager know exactly what you're plan-ning to bring. We provide plates, tablecloths, and napkins. Styrofoam, confetti, piñatas, straws, birdseed, rice and balloons are not allowed in the Zoo.

Is it possible to host a party with fewer than 16 people?The Birthday Party Package includes 16 admission tickets, whether they are used or not. If you would like more than 16 guests, we can accommodate up to 50 guests in the Publix Birthday Party Pavilion.

Will we have access to the Zoo all day?The 16 included Zoo admission tickets are valid for the entire day during regular Zoo hours. Even though you can come earlier than your designated rental time slot to enjoy the Zoo, you will not have access to the Publix Birthday Party Pavilion until 30 minutes prior to your party.

Are we permitted to go outside the Zoo once inside (to gather party items)?Yes, guests can go in and out of the Zoo; just make sure to get a hand stamp at the main gate for re-entry.

Can I bring in a birthday cake? What about birthday candles?Birthday cake and/or cupcakes are the only foods you are permitted to bring to the Pavilion. If you bring your own cake, you are responsible for the forks, plates, napkins, and cake cutter. We can also provide a cake for you! Candles are permitted, but please use good judgment when it comes to handling open flames. We do not provide candles or lighters.

Are we allowed to bring a high chair inside or will one be provided?We do not provide highchairs. If you would like to bring a highchair, it is your responsibility. Please note there is no storage at the Publix Birthday Party Pavilion.

What is available in the Pavilion? What does it look like?Our Pavilion is covered but open-air. We have fans that you can control in the Pavilion, as well as outlets. You can bring your own music if you would like, but it must be family-friendly and at a noise level that doesn't disturb other guests visiting the Zoo.

How does the guest list work?The Birthday Party Package comes with 16 admission tickets. We require the names of 16 guests to associate with those tickets (guests under the age of 3 do not need a ticket to enter). If you anticipate more than 16 guests at the party, those guests can either purchase tickets upon arrival or you can purchase them through your Catering Sales Manager. Please note your Catering Sales Manager must have your per-purchase-ticket order no later than the Thursday prior to the party. Any additional tickets purchased are non-refundable. Important note: If one of the people on your guest list does not come, we are not able to "sub them out" the day of the event. The names you submitted have been previously assigned a ticket and even if one (or more) from the list do not show up, their ticket will still be charged and is not able to be refunded.

What time can our party attendees access the Zoo? Can we have arrival time a little earlier, so every-one can walk around?You and your guests can absolutely arrive early to walk around the Zoo. In fact, we encourage guests to arrive at Zoo Atlanta 45 minutes early at the latest as parking will be limited. If your guests would like to arrive even before then, great! However, there is no storage available to you or any of your guests until the designated birthday party time slot so be mindful of what you bring in early.

What do we do once the party ends? Can we stay in the Pavilion?You are more than welcome to stay in the Zoo and see all the animals! We ask that you clean your area once the party has officially ended. Multiple Birthday Parties may be scheduled, and the Zoo Host will begin setting up for the next party immediately following your 90-minute time slot.

Where is the Birthday Party Pavilion located?Our Birthday Party Pavilion is located right in the middle of KIDZone! The Pavilion is right next to Splash Fountain, the Zoo Train, Endangered Species Carousel and rock wall! Feel free to ask any Zoo team member for directions.

BIRTHDAY EVENT CONTRACT

1. Reservation and Deposit:Birthday party bookings will not be accepted further than two (2) months out from the date of the party. Once your order is received by the Special Events Team, you will be sent a catering invoice to sign and return in order to confirm your reservation. We require a full payment of the TOTAL amount due upon the signing of your catering invoice. The reservation will not be official until the signed catering invoice and full payment have been received.

All reservations require a credit card on file. Credit card information may be entered online at proofmonroe.securepayments.cardpointe.com/pay. A 3% processing fee will be applied to all credit card payments.

2. Guest Count:Guest count is required at least seven (7) business days prior to the date of the party. If a guarantee is notprovided within the seven (7) business day period, the guest count on the original catering invoice will beused as the final guarantee. Please be aware that additions on the day of the event are not permitted.

3. Additional Guests (over party size of 16 people):There are two (2) options for additional guests:

a. $30.99 - admission to Zoo Atlanta and one (1) extra mealb. $11 - meal only (for Zoo Atlanta Members only)

With the exception of Zoo Atlanta Members, and children ages two (2) and under, all guests need a ticket to enter Zoo Atlanta. For guests added short of seven (7) business days prior to the date of the party, admission tickets must be purchased at Zoo Atlanta’s main gate at the full rate. Keep in mind the maximum capacity of the venue reserved for your party. Maximum capacity for the Publix Birthday Party Pavilion is 50 guests.

4. Cancellation or Date Change:Please note that all payments are final. Cancellation for any reason will result in forfeiture of ALLpayments. No refunds.

In the event of SEVERE weather, your party may need to be rescheduled. If you would like to reschedule your party, a 24-hour notice prior to your event is required. Light rain and cold temperatures (over 42° Fahrenheit) are not considered severe weather, so please dress appropriately. Reschedule dates are based on availability.

5. Parking:Host and guests may park in the Cherokee Avenue parking lot (parking is FREE). We recommend arrivingearly, because parking fills up quickly. There will be no parking spaces reserved. Please note that you willbe responsible for transporting birthday party items to and from your car (decorations, gifts, cake, etc.).

6. Tickets and Wristbands:The client is responsible for distributing tickets and wristbands to all guests. Tickets and wristbands can bepicked up at Zoo Atlanta in advance. Tickets can also be picked up the day of the party from ZooAtlanta’s Will Call booth.

The client will not be reimbursed for unused tickets or wristbands.

7. Rides:All rides and activities are subject to change or cancellation based on weather conditions. The schedulefor rides and activities is subject to change without notice. A daily rides/activity schedule is available atZoo Atlanta’s main gate. Treetop Trail presented by Kaiser Permanente is not included with the wristband.

8. Setup/ Security:Client will be responsible for transporting all party items/decorations to and from the party venue. ThePublix Birthday Party Pavilion is located in the middle of Zoo grounds. Make sure to allow enough time totransport all of your birthday items/ decorations. Make arrangements to secure your gifts and personalitems during and following the party. Zoo Atlanta and the Special Events Team are not responsible for lostor stolen items.

9. Clean-up:The party venue will be reserved for your party for 1 ½ hours, including clean-up time. At your party’sconclusion, please place all trash in the receptacles provided for you. Failure to clean up will result in anadditional clean up fee of $100 which will be charged to the credit card on file. An additional $100 willbe charged to the credit card on file if the party runs past the end time.

10. Food Service/Outside Catering:Food service is scheduled to begin at the party start time. There will be no refund for leftover food. Due tolocal health regulations and liability, food or beverages may not be taken from Zoo grounds after it hasbeen prepared and served. Outside food and beverage is not permitted into the birthday party pavilionwith the exception of birthday cake and/or cupcakes.

11. The following items are NOT permitted on the grounds of Zoo Atlanta:Balloons, confetti, birdseed, rice, grills, pets of any kind, games involving throwing or striking objects (i.e.piñatas; pull string piñatas are allowed), straws and Styrofoam products. No open flames of any kind arepermitted on the grounds of Zoo Atlanta. Birthday candles will be permitted with approval from your Zoo

Atlanta Special Events Representative. Please note that you are responsible for bringing a lighter for your candles.

12. Birthday Cake:Zoo Atlanta Special Events offers birthday cakes at an additional cost. The client may provide a birthdaycake with the understanding that storage is not available on the grounds of Zoo Atlanta. Please note thatbirthday cake and/or cupcakes are the only food items that are permitted from the outside. The client isresponsible for providing all plates, napkins and serving utensils necessary for serving the birthday cake.

13. Animal Encounters:Animal encounter requests must be received in writing a minimum of five (5) weeks prior to your event.

14. Additional Zoo Atlanta Policies:Zoo Atlanta is a living museum and an educational institution, and the need for protection of its treasuresis of primary importance. Zoo Atlanta reserves the right to refuse use of its venues to any prospectivelessee, for any reason deemed appropriate at the Zoo’s sole discretion. Zoo Atlanta reserves the right toexpel any person(s) who fail to observe Zoo policies. Violations may result in termination of the event.

In consideration of the use of the facilities of Atlanta-Fulton County Zoo, Inc. (“Zoo Atlanta”), the undersigned entity does hereby agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Zoo and/or Proof of the Pudding, its officers, directors, trustees, members, agents and employees from and against any and all claims, obligations, demands, actions, damages, lawsuits, judgments, liabilities, losses, costs and expenses (including attorneys' fees) which may be made, suffered or incurred by any person or entity arising from, related to or in connection with the use of the facilities at the Zoo by the Client, its officers, directors, employees, agents or invitees during the Event or in any way arising from, related to or in connection with Client's breach of its obligations under this Agreement.
