A sweet baby boy was born on October 17, 2013 to Bashir and Stephanie Adili in Charleston, SC. Milan Gabriel weighed 8lbs 10oz and measured 21.5" long. His proud grandparents, George and Gloria Hanna, got to spend two weeks in SC helping with all the chores!

Abe Saad and Sarah Dixon both from HunMngton, WV were married on Saturday, February 22, 2014 in a beauMful
ceremony.
In July, Abe and Sarah announced that Baby Saad is coming this winter!

Tristan Samuel Anderson graduated from Sanderson High School in Raleigh NC on June 7, 2014. Tristan is aWending Wake Technical Community College and is Interested in forensic science. Tristan is the son of Becky and Troy Anderson; the grandson of Ayoub and the late Elaine Rahal; and the great grandson of Kallel and Emily BasseW.

Tiana Hall from So. Charleston, WV, graduated from George Washington High School on May 16, 2014. Tiana is aWending West Virginia University and is studying History. She is the daughter of Dona ChrisMan Hall and the late Phil Hall and the granddaughter of Rose Thabet ChrisMan and the late Don ChrisMan.

Melaina Russell graduated from James Madison University on May 10, 2014 with a Business Management degree and a minor in Human Science. Melaina was a Kfeirian Reunion Scholarship recipient and would like to thank the reunion for the support for the past 4 years. She is the daughter of Ron and Denise Mickel Russell and the granddaughter of the late Mitchell and Linda Thabet Mickel of So. Charleston, WV.

Shannon M. Parrish, daughter of John and Sherry Mickel Parrish of EllicoW City, Maryland and Granddaughter of the late Alex and Nadine of Richmond, VA graduated from The University of Maryland, College Park in May 2014 with a degree in Psychology and cerMficate in CIVICUS, a living and learning community focused on civic engagement. She lived and studied in Copenhagen, Denmark in the spring semester of her Junior Year, immersed in the Danish culture and loving it! Shannon is now going to the University of Maryland for her Master's in Social Work to begin in September with an anMcipated graduaMon date of May 2016. Shannon has been interested in helping people since her earliest days and looks forward to serving a nonprofit agency in the future. Go Shannon!!
Obituaries Lorena May Aborizk Copley, widow of App F. Copley, 89, of Charleston, W.Va. formerly of Chesapeake, Ohio, was joyfully called into Heaven on Friday, October 11, 2013; she was born June 22, 1924 in HunMngton, WV. BePy Jo Cantees Kawaja, wife of Louis Kawaja of 46 years, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital. Born May 27, 1947 in Williamson, WV, she was a daughter of the late Abe and Hazel Dawhare Cantees.

Rev. Esber N. Tweel, 72, passed away Dec. 4 aZer pneumonia ended his 15-‐year baPle with PolymyosiMs. God granted his wish and took him home. Esber was preceded in death by his parents, Naif and Margaret Tweel. He is survived by his wife, Carol Lynn.
Helen Louise Hensley George, 86, of HunMngton, passed away Friday, March 28, 2014, at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born November 24, 1927, in Cabell County, a daughter of the late Delbert CurMs and Louise Bias Hensley. She is survived by her daughter, Paula George Tompkins of Sausalito, California.
Maxine S. White passed away June 26, 2014. She was born in Ashland, KY to Joesphine and Antonio Saleeba in 1925. She was proceeded in death by her sister, Helen Cantees.
Accomplishments
Michael Abraham of St. Johns, FL, son of Mike and Nora Abraham and grandson of Raymond Abraham (HunMngton, WV) performed in the NYC 2014 Jazz FesMval playing lead trumpet in the Fruit Cove Middle School Jazz Band. They were the only middle school band in the country invited to play at the event that was held in NYC's Lincoln Center. High School and University bands dominated this event. Michael was a two year member of this talented group of 28 young musicians.
While in New York, there were able to visit the many historical landmarks, World Trade Center Memorial and enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city.
Showing up unannounced to surprise and witness this once in a lifeMme event was Michael's grandfather Raymond, his Aunt Linda Thomas and cousin Kimberly Thomas.

Accomplishments
Don't believe anyone who says, "You can't.” Those are the words of Dr. Eric George, who grew up in HunMngton and graduated from HunMngton East High School and then Marshall University and Marshall's School of Medicine. Today, he's a hand surgeon/entrepreneur in New Orleans involved in too many industries and projects to menMon. Eric is the son of BeWy George and reMred HunMngton aWorney Louis George.

“Al – Kfeir in America” wriPen by Mary Louise Tweel Haddad was introduced and sponsored by Joseph B. Touma, MD and is being sold at Holy Spirit Orthodox Church as a fund raiser. Edward Saad was inducted into the Univ. of KY College of engineering Hall of DisMncMon. Edward earned his PhD from UK in chemical engineering and was one of six inductees.

• Eliminated paper where possible through the use of electronic mailings while sMll providing a paper copy for those who need it.
• IniMated cost savings where possible including no fee banking, use of Square technology with a lower interest rate and a free conference bridge service.

• Financial need, leadership and scholasMc ability are the criteria by which applicants are judged, in addiMon to meeMng the requirements of the Kfeirian Reunion Scholarship Program. Scholarships are limited to four years and designed for courses leading to an undergraduate degree in an accredited college or university.
