Who are BADIs?
In short, BADIs is a forward-looking organisation forBirmingham-based ADIs who want to improvethemselves and their businesses.
Established in January 2000, BADIs (which stands forBirmingham ADIs) is open to any ADI, and anyone whowants to become an ADI, living or working in or nearBirmingham. This makes it especially suitable for thosestarting out on an ADI career, who can benefit from theexperience and advice of more experienced members. It is also ideal for more experienced ADIs, who cannetwork and benefit from the varied expertise of fellowmembers.
Unlike many other local ADI organisations, BADIs recognizes that the way to success is not bycomplaining, but by adopting a professional andpositive approach to self-improvement, and by workingconstructively with the DVSA and others.
Why should I join BADIs?
• You will meet a range of experienced andprogressive ADIs, some working for largeorganizations, some in small partnerships, others ontheir own. We are friendly, and interact well, freelyswapping our ideas and exchanging information.
• We meet up about six times a year, usually with aguest speaker, often from the DVSA. Talks arearranged on topics which members choose.
• BADIs is a not-for-profit body, run for the benefit ofour members. We welcome all ideas, so that we canmake sure we do what our members want.
• If you have an unusual problem or question, we canusually put you in touch with a member with relevantknowledge and expertise who can help.
• We operate our own web site (www.badis.uk). Thisincludes many useful documents and resources (egthe DL25; DT1; ADI1; National Standards). There isalso a page for fully qualified ADIs to promote theirservices to the public - which we can do for youeven if you don’t have access to the internet.
