Directions to Birley Multi-Storey Car Park Approaching Stretford Road: Travelling on Stretford Road (A5067) Turn onto Old Birley Street Take the left turn on to Phoenix Way Take the first left onto Archway Travel North along Archway, the entrance to Birley multi-storey is on your right. Approaching from Princess Road: Travelling on Princess Road (A5103) Turn left onto Greenheys Lane West Take the first right on to Archway Continue travelling Northbound until you reach the entrance to the Birley multi storey on your right. The Car Park does not have a postcode but for those using ‘Sat Navs’ the nearest address is: M15 5RN Staff Access to Birley Multi-Storey Car Park Barriers are located at the entrance and exit of the multi-storey car park. In order to access the car park you will need your staff ID card. This should be swiped at the barrier card reader thereby raising the barrier. Car park permit holders will have their staff ID card activated to allow access. The exit barriers will raise automatically as a car approaches. Floor Access Access to different floors of the car park will be via the stairs / lifts, please do not use the internal ramp which is for car use only. Staff Birley Parking Permit All members of staff who have been allocated to the Birley car park must have a valid permit. Whilst parking on-site staff members must have a valid parking permit clearly displayed in their front window. Any vehicle which does not have a valid parking permit will be issued with a civil enforcement notice. Anyone who has a pay & display parking permit must purchase a parking ticket from one of the 8 parking ticket machines (2 on each floor). This then must be clearly displayed alongside a valid pay & display car park permit. Anyone who displays a pay & display permit without a valid paid parking ticket will be issued with a civil enforcement notice. Electric Vehicle Electric Vehicle charging points have been installed and the associated parking bays are for use only by electric vehicles whilst being charged. Free Student Parking Students wishing to park on Birley will be able to use the MSCP after 4.30pm if they are registered for study in Birley. Access will be automatically granted to your student ID card. Fire Escape P&D Machine

Fire SafetyIf you notice a fire, please raise the alarm by breaking one of the emergency alarms which are located throughout the building. If you hear the fire alarm please make your way as quickly as possible to one of the fire escapes.There are emergency refuges within the stairwells of each floor. Please use the phone which will automatically contact MMU Security in case of an emergency.

Visitor ParkingVisitor car parking spaces can be reserved by MMU staff by contacting Birley Reception on 0161 247 2646. Please be advised, visitors are to be booked into on the surface area car park and are not permitted to park in the Multi Storey Car Park without prior consent from the Travel Plan Manager.

Access to the visitor car park is only available from the slip road which is accessible off the Northbound route of Princess Parkway.
