the private sector Personal lived and worked in the region for many years, based at Victor Harbor (very old) currently the Independent Chairperson of the Kanmantoo Callington Community

Consultative Committee for the Kanmantoo Copper Mine assisted in the establishment of many other community consultative groups in

communities like Wudinna and Tumby Bay Other do not represent Terramin or any other group from government or the community

Overall objective

Help establish the Woodside Community Consultative Committee (WCCC) as an inclusive, representative, well informed, community based forum to promote consultation on matters related to the Bird in Hand Gold Project

Inclusive Invite all local community members with an interest in the project or who feel they may be positively or negatively affected by it, to consider getting involved with the WCCC

RepresentativeMake sure a wide range of interests are represented in the membership of the WCCC

Well informedProvide access to clear, complete and accurate information so that there is a shared understanding amongst the community and all stakeholders of:

the project the WCCC and how it will work the process to establish the WCCC

Three events have been planned to create awareness and build understanding about the WCCC to help the local community work out whether or not they would like to be involved.

Representative of a wide range of interests

near neighbours of the proposed mine site local rural landowners, with or without commercial interests residents of Woodside or nearby local business owners and operators individuals or representatives of local community groups with a particular interest in issues

and /or opportunities the natural environment including air quality, noise, flora and fauna the management of resources like water Indigenous and non-Indigenous heritage and culture health and public safety like transport community services including emergency services like the CFS employment, training and / or economic opportunities community development like new infrastructure

representatives from business and industry groups representatives from community groups like seniors or youth groups representatives from Local, State and Commonwealth Governments others like representatives from the media, infrastructure providers or observers

Steering Group set up three local community representatives and the CEO of Terramin asked Bob to help with establishing the WCCC

Ministerial Determination

On the 5th April 2017, the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) published a Ministerial Determination which outlines the minimum information required to be provided for a mining proposal for the Bird in Hand Gold Project.
