    • Large, highly poisonous snake that can defend itself from a distance by spitting venom

  • Bengal Bamboo
    • Common Name: Spineless Indian Bamboo
    • Fast growing; it is full grown in 2-3 months at about 40-80 feet
  • Jambu
    • Common Name: Watery Rose Apple
    • Produces a small fruit that has a thin, shiny skin varying in color from white to light red
  • Strangler Fig
    • Common Name: Banyan Tree
    • Canopy tree that grows to about 148 feet
    • New trees begin in the crooks of old tree and eventually kill the host tree

    • Bees are attracted to the flower, but animals do not eat them because they are said to be slightly poisonous.

    • Descendent of the dog, so they look very similar to dogs, they feed on large animals such as sheep and rabbits.

    • Has a horn-like projection over its eyes
    • Travels by moving its body side-ways
  • Mouse-tailed Bat
    • About 2-3 inches long
    • They feed on insects. During the cool season they store fat and sleep until the cold has passed.

    • Common Name: Compass Cactus
    • When it rains it expands in order to store the absorbed water. During dry times it shrinks as it uses the stored water.
  • Desert Paintbrush
    • Common Name: Northwestern Paintbrush
    • Has red to orange flower like tips, it grows about 4 to 16 inches with leaves about 1-2 in. long
  • Zygocactus
    • Common Name: Christmas Cactus
    • Can grow up to 6 ft tall and during the winter has small bright red fruit.
