What is BREP?
Education in Research We offer an integrated and multidisciplinary
approach to research education and training for undergraduate students through Post-Doctoral Fellows and Junior Faculty.
12 programs serving ~150 learners annually
Office of Research provides administrative oversight and support.
The School of Medicine and Office of Graduate Studies provide academic oversight.

REHSS Rules
Mentor Agreement and Parental Consent: Must be to BREP at least two (2) weeks prior.
Mentee … Must complete required training.
Is not allowed to participate in or observe any research pertaining to live vertebrate animals.
May work only in Biosafety level 1 or lower conditions. They may not work with, or enter into, BSL2 or BSL3 labs.
Must be accompanied by the mentor, or an appropriate supervisor, at all times.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
