BIOGRAPHY

Bassey Edet Otu popularly known as Prince Otu is a Nigerian Politician who represented the Calabar Municipal/Odupkani Constitu-ency of Cross River State, Nigeria in the Federal house of Assembly from 2003 - 2011. He was also elected Senator for Cross River South in the April 2011 elections , running on the People's Democratic Party (PDP) platform.

Born in 18 October 1959, Prince Otu grew up in his home city of Calabar and Jos , Plateau State , where his father had been assigned to the mission of the Church of Scotland .

Prince has served in various committees on Power, Ministry of Niger Delta, Inter-Parlimentary Relations, inter- intra Party Relations , Environment and Defence .

Represented Cross River State southern senatorial district for one term under the People's Democratic Party (PDP)
