THE BIOGAS POWER PLANT COMPANY Our company uses biogas to make
energy. Our energy comes from trash.
ABOUT US
We chose to work for this company because it sounded interesting and easy to do.
We also think that it is a good source of energy.
OUR FORM OF ENERGY
Biogas comes from decomposers that eat trash and waste water.
They pass gas and it is flammable. We collect the gas and use it to run an
engine. The engine turns a generator that
makes electricity.
ADVANTAGES OF BIOGAS
Not expensive. Renewable. Less gas in atmosphere.
FOSSIL FUELS
Fossil fuels pollute more and are non-renewable.
Dangerous.
SOLAR POWER
Doesn’t work at night. Very expensive.
WIND POWER
Sometimes there is no wind. Kills birds.
NUCLEAR POWER
Expensive Radioactive
GEOTHERMAL
Dangerous gases. Few places to build a station.
HYDROELECTRIC
Can cause floods. Expensive.
