• On 1960's Zeiss and Leitz companies introduced roof prism binoculars that is :– Compact– Light – Comfortable to hold.

• But inside, they had a more complex light path and required much greater optical precision in manufacturing

Not as contrast as Porro prisms. Give more contrast image than standard roof prisms.
