April 10— 7 pm. Spoken Word, 10 min. readings about

April 11—6 pm. Coffee Crawl from Wild Bill’s to Uptown
Bill’s‐prizes, t‐shirts, a scavenger hunt from Wild Bill's to
Uptown Bill's with several coffee shop stops in between.
April 12—7 pm. Barry & Bev Morrow will speak at W10
Pappajohn Bldg. on their friendship with Bill how he in‐
spired people around the world. Others integral to the sto‐
ry of Bill will also speak. Do you have a story to share about
Bill? A recep on will follow at Wild Bill's Coffeeshop in 320
North Hall.

Coffee House. A different band‐and a new cake every hour.

Careers in Aging in IOWA is the Focus of a New Webinar Series
The aging of America’s population is resulting in a shortage of people prepared to meet the unique needs of older adults. Every industry is being affected by population aging. New job opportunities are opening up. In response, The University of Iowa, in collaboration with The University of North-ern Iowa, Iowa State University and The Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) is present-ing a webinar series about Careers in Aging, which will take place throughout April.
The webinars (on-line seminars) are being offered at no cost to the participant (although registration is required) and are targeted at people who would like to learn more about career options, including high school students, college students, and adults in the workforce who are considering a career change.
April 4th Janet Specht from the University of Iowa College of Nursing will speak about careers in nursing
April 8th Joe Sample from the Iowa Department on Aging and doctoral student at the Iowa State University will provide an overview of career options in social policy and advocacy. He will discuss federal and state government agencies and private organizations that work on behalf of old-er adults.
April 10th Angie Burda from The University of Northern Iowa will speak about careers in speech and language therapy.
April 15th Shirley Sorenson and Trish Stull from DMACC will discuss management career op-tions in residential settings that serve older adults.

April 29th Mercedes Bern-Klug from the University of Iowa will discuss careers in social work.
Although registration is limited to the first 100 people who sign-up, each webinar will be recorded and available to everyone 24/7 on-line and free of charge at the University of Iowa’s Aging Studies Program within 2 hours of the actual presentation.
