Get up & Dance Taster Sessions Whether you have two left feet or are just looking at ways to keep fit, we have an afternoon of fun taster workshops with Bollywood entertainer, Jay Kumar, Bees Knees Flapper Academy, Hula hooping with Craig Reid the Incredible Hula Boy, Zumba Riot with Craig Addison and contemporary dance with Spiral Arts and SA Dance. This is also a great opportunity for children and young people to try out a dance session with our resident youth dance group Alluminae and Torron Lee’s Alliance Dance Unit. The Bees Knees Flapper Academy The 1920s are thoroughly kicked into the modern day with high-energy Charleston dance, full of humour, style and finesse by the Bees Knees Flapper Academy. An Introduction to Dance Photography Workshop Join internationally acclaimed dance photographer Chris Nash in this intensive two-day workshop where you will spend day one shooting dancers under theatrical lighting and day two working on editing, post- production and Photoshop to further enhance and improve your images. Geraldine Pilgrim presents handbag In an empty space, a caretaker sweeps away the remants of a previous event. A woman enters and puts down her handbag. A beat begins, a mirror ball turns and the sound of a classic dance track fills the air…Watermans are looking for volunteer male and female performers, no experience required, aged 16+, to take part in this devised piece pre-rehearsed during the week before.
