So after selling his prized DeSoto for $350 to financethe purchase, Bob went to cleaning and scrubbing and rehabbing his space. With only a small cookingarea, the menu was limited. However, everything Bob cooked was done with quality ingredients andalways served with a smile.

Little did anyone know that history was about to be made when a regular customer wanted toorder “something different, something special.” Well, Bob stacked an always-fresh bun with twohamburgers that fateful day and the original, first-of-its-kind double deck hamburger was aninstant hit, and has been satisfying millions of burger lovers ever since.
