ATTENDANCE AND PROGRESS REPORTS
• Students with less than 85% a�endance in one or more subject will not be permi�ed to take the final examina�on.
• Monthly progress reports of students will be sent to the parents at their permanent address.
Any form of Ragging is banned in the Institute

DURATION : FOUR YEARS
M.TECH. PROGRAMMES
Candidates who have passed B.E./B.Tech. examina�on (in relevant field) with not less than 50% aggregate of all the years (45% for SC/ST category)Note: PGCET/GATE Score is a prerequisite for admission.
DURATION : TWO YEARS
Candidates who have passed II PUC/ Intermediate /10+2 or any other equivalent examina�onwith Physics and Mathema�cs as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Bio-technology/ Biology/Electronics and Computer Science as op�onal subjects and with English as one of the language of study with an aggregate minimum of 45% marks in the op�onal subjects (40% ofmarks for SC/ST/ CAT-1 and OBC category).Note: 1) CET/COMEDK/AIEEE Rank/Score is also required for management quota admissions.
2) To claim seats under category, Cer�ficate issued by Tahsildar of the respec�ve taluka must be produced.

ABOUT DISCIPLINE
All candidates admi�ed to BIET shall maintain good conduct, a�end their classes regularly and abide
by the rules & regula�ons of the ins�tute.
If at any point of �me the conduct or character of a candidate is not sa�sfactory or is of a suspicious
nature, the ins�tute reserves the right, to make him/her vacate the hostel or expel him/her from the
ins�tute.
Mobile phones are banned in the campus.
Ins�tute �mings need to be followed strictly in a�ending the Classes and Labs.
Laboratory & workshop uniforms are must.
As per Supreme Court order on the An�-Ragging measures, all students and parent/guardians are
requested to submit an affidavit before a student is allowed to register in the University.
BIET is the only ins�tute in central Karnataka Accredited three �mes by Na�onal Board of Accredita�on (NBA).
