October 17, 2014

Welcome,

I am glad you chose to join us this evening at Clay Road Baptist School’s Annual Fund Auction & Car Show. Just about everything is more enjoyable when it is shared with someone. Think about it. A gourmet meal, a good movie, an amusement park, a ride in the country, and a walk through a museum are all great fun when enjoyed with another.

As I think about our ministry to children, I find great encouragement in remembering the incredible ways in which God has worked through the involvement of others. There are events that come to mind and with them the images of people who participated with us in grappling with a variety challenges.

The story of Clay Road Baptist School is your story, and the story of hundreds just like you, who have understood our mission, have shared our commitment to it, and have expressed their confidence in our ability to do it in a myriad of ways. I’m grateful to you and the legacy of your faithfulness which I see every day in the lives of those we serve.

As we launch our Annual Fund drive for 2014-2015, we seek to raise additional income to support our school and the programs that benefit our students. This year’s Annual Fund Campaign goal is $80,000. The Annual Fund is unique in that it provides an opportunity to give directly to the underlying needs of our school, allowing us to keep tuition manageable and provide aid to families whose desire for their children’s Christian education exceeds their current means.

It is with great sensitivity that we come to you this evening. We’re in this together and while some of us are unable to do what we might like to do, perhaps all of us can do something. Whether it’s $20 per month, or a one-time donation of $1000 or more, your contribution makes a difference.

It’s the sharing that really matters. So we’re inviting you to share through giving, through volunteer-ism, through in-kind contributions of products or services. Imagine the stories we’ll have to tell as we look back at how we came together to guarantee that the vital mission of our school was fulfilled in such challenging times.

We ask for your prayerful consideration of this opportunity. Be assured of our commitment to you to deliver the highest quality of service to which we are capable. Our commitment is to minister effec-tively to those we serve, as well as those who serve us.

Thanks for taking time to consider your involvement as we celebrate our journey together.

Soli Deo Gloria, Matt Duston Principal Clay Road Baptist School
