Boardwalk across Mississippi River may be completed by Spring of 2016.

The project features a boardwalk that will be built on one of the cantilevered “carriageways,” as they were known, that once carried motor vehicles across the Harahan Bridge, a 98-year old railroad span south of Downtown Memphis. In addition, bicycle and pedestrian paths will be constructed on the Arkansas side of the river that will connect with the central business district of West Memphis and a route along the levee system along the Mississippi.
