BIBLIOBOARD LIBRARYBiblioBoard Library is the platform patrons use to access all types digital content: books, articles, documents, audio, images and video. All content on BiblioBoard Library is offered for unlimited, multi-user access on all major web browsers and through native apps on devices (including iPad®, Kindle Fire HD®, Nexus® and Galaxy Tab®). The content on BiblioBoard Library comes from traditional publishers, self-published authors and libraries’ own content collections.

BIBLIOBOARD CREATORBiblioBoard Creator is the authoring tool used to create digital exhibits for the BiblioBoard Library platform. This easy-to-learn, easy-to-use tool allows librarians and subject matter experts to upload and search for content to add to their multimedia Anthology. Libraries of all types have found BiblioBoard Creator to be an ideal way to share their local history, special collections, archives and more with a wide audience.

PATRON AccessYour patrons can access your BiblioBoard content from the web or various mobile devices. To get access on mobile devices, they must create an account while authenticated at the library (instructions included on another page in this packet) and then download the free app available via these links.

If your library uses a proxy to authenticate, you will be asked to log in to their proxy to verify you are a patron there. Click "Continue", and you will be brought to their login page to enter your credentials. Once verified, you will be sent back to BiblioBoard Library to continue creating your account.

If you continue as a guest of your library, you will be browsing anonymously. [Please note: you will not have the same benefits as a user that has created an account. You will be unable to favorite items, add bookmarks and notes, access your recently viewed content, download select PDFs and sync your preferences across devices.]

If you are trying to access https://library.biblioboard.com from outside of the library, you will see this screen. Either log in with the account you have already created or click "Sign Up Now!" and walk through the steps illustrated above.

If your library uses library cards to authenticate, you will be asked for your library card number (and sometimes PIN) to verify that you are a patron there. Enter your credentials, then click "Continue". You will be directed to the next screen to continue creating your account.

BiblioBoard CounterCOUNTER (Counting Online Usage of NeTworked Electronic Resources) is useful in determining which resources are used most by patrons. BiblioBoard provides complete COUNTER-compliant data for all libraries with subscriptions to the platform. Read below for detailed instructions on how to access this information.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW• Before choosing a report, look to the right and make sure the date range is what you’d like and

press Update.• You can download a CSV file (Excel spreadsheet) by clicking the Download CSV button above

Please note that in order to view all the months in the report, you will have to use the scroll bars running along the bottom and right side of the data.

DATABASE TAB Activity Report: This report details the total searches, result clicks and record views by month and database.

• Result click: A patron clicked on a result created by a search. • Record view: A patron opened a content detail page. • Successful title request: A patron opened a book. • Successful multimedia full content request: A patron opened an image, audio, or video file.

Denied Report: This report details the access that was denied by month, database and category.

• Please note this section is provided only to comply with the COUNTER standard. It should always be empty since a patron will never be denied access to content due to concurrent checkout restrictions.

PLATFORM TAB Search Report: This report details the total searches, result clicks and record views by month and platform.

BOOK TAB Successful Requests Report: This report details the number of successful title requests by month and title.

Successful Sections Report: This report details the number of successful section requests by month and category (N/A; provided to comply with COUNTER standards).

Denied Requests Report: This report details the access denied to content items by month, title, and category (N/A; provided to comply with COUNTER standards).

What is SELF-e?SELF-e is an innovative collaboration between Library Journal and BiblioBoard that enables authors and public libraries to work together and expose notable indie ebooks to voracious readers looking to discover something new.

How does it work?The ebooks chosen by Library Journal will be organized by genre and presented on BiblioBoard. Additionally, authors can opt to include their book in a statewide collection that promotes local authors.

How will the local authors submit their work?If you’d like to opt-in to the service, send us your logo, and we will create a branded online submission form for your library. We will handle all of the follow-up and the migration of the material into your statewide collection. There is no limit to how many submissions any library can take from local authors.

How does pricing work?Your BiblioBoard subscription includes the branded submission page as well as access to the collection for your state. The Library Journal-curated collections will be available for subscription by genre for an additional fee, so libraries can choose specific genres of interest for their library.
