You are a gracious, godly church. I pray you had a blessed summer. Its me now to get back to church with your family and church family. The ETBU students will be coming to be with us. What an opportunity for the church to love and encourage them. Each Sunday, I will have a message from Gods word that will encourage and challenge you and those you bring with you. Always be thinking invest and invite. How can I serve someone outside the church building and invite them to worship with me. Be much in prayer for the pastor search team as they are close to bringing the new pastor before you. Its going to be an excing me. Linda and I love you and pray Gods best for you! We know that God has guided us each and every step of the way during this selection process. Be watching for biographical information on our candidate, as we release it soon, on our church website, Facebook, and handouts that will be available beginning Sunday, September 9. Most importantly, please continue to pray and lift this man and his family up as we move forward with our next full time senior pastor. Also, there will be a church wide "meet - and - greet - the pastor" on Saturday, September 15, in the Fellowship Hall, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. We hope you will come enjoy some light refreshments, listen to our candidate give his testimony, and ask him questions. Sunday, September 16, he will be preaching in the service at 10:30 am. Directly following the service, there will be a special called business meeting to vote and confirm our new pastor, if approved. A special heartfelt thanks goes out to each of you who have spent so much time in prayer for our search team this year. They have been heard and felt! LOTS of volunteers will be needed in areas, such as coat check crew, parking, set up decorations and tear down crews, set up food areas and clean up, restroom monitors, floaters for whatever needs to be done and many other jobs. If you are interested in helping, there will be a meeting on Tuesday, September 4, 6:00pm at River Crossing Cowboy Church or you can contact Anne Schultz from Crossroads for more information. Dear loving church family at Crossroads,

What a joy it’s been to serve as your interim pastor. You are a gracious, godly church. I pray you had

Choir Practice has begun, but it ’s not too late to join us on Wednesday nights at 6:15pm. Bi-Monthly Family Business Meeting will be Wednesday, September 12, at 6:15 pm. CCA Outing Friday, September 14. The CCA Group will be having lunch in Marshall and afterwards will attend the Great East Texas Hymn Sing at ETBU. The church van will leave the church at 11:00am. If you would like to attend, please sign-up in the M & M Center.

In honor of the 17th Anniversary of 9/11, we will have

a special recognition service Sunday, September 9, for the public servants

who serve our community.

SEE YOU AT THE POLE

“See You At The Pole” has been about one simple act -- prayer. It is about students uniting themselves in prayer before God interceding for their generation. SEE YOU AT THE POLE day is Wednesday, September 26 at about 7:15am. (check with your school for exact time) All around the globe, in every time zone, students will be gathering at their school flagpoles, praying for their school, friends, families, churches, and communities. Adults are also welcome and encouraged to attend.

SAW YOU AT THE POLE

That night the Ascension Student Ministry will be gathering with other area youth groups for a “Saw You At The Pole” Worship Rally.

For the first time, this will be held at Telegraph Park in downtown Marshall from 5:00pm - 8:00pm.
