DESCRIPTION
Winston Scott Polyclinic is the largest polyclinic in the Barbados public healthcare system and experiences the heaviest amount of traffic. Over the last few months, the BIBA Charity has been working with the Barbados Chief Medical Officer and her team to understand the challenges that the polyclinic faces on a daily basis, providing free frontline healthcare to the public. Dr Elizabeth Ferdinand has eloquently and passionately articulated the high priority need for a walk-in cooler installed at the Winston Scott Polyclinic, to continue the island-wide immunization and vaccination program. Her team have also identified other very important equipment needs at the polyclinic. Improvements made to the services offered at the polyclinics reduces the pressure on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Attached is a brochure detailing the equipment needs at the polyclinic.
