About BCCA:

Bharatesh College of Computer Application affiliated to Rani Channamma University, Belgaum

established in year 2000.

Education in BCCA encompasses both the teaching and learning of knowledge, proper conduct, and

technical competency. It thus focuses on the cultivation of skills, trades or professions, as well as

mental, moral and aesthetic development.

BCCA helps students to revise their goals, Goals are what individuals hope to achieve and

accomplish. Such intentions motivate and direct human behavior. Thus, educational outcomes such

as academic satisfaction, use of appropriate learning strategies, effort exerted in course work, &

ultimately, academic achievement, are related to goals.

Events Conducted in Academic year 2017-18

FRESHIA

“Fresher’s Party” was recently conducted at Bharatesh College of Computer Applications,

Belagavi. Shri. Rajiv Doddannavar, Secretary , Bharatesh Education Trust was the chief guest on

this occasion which was attended by Shri Bhushan Mirji, Chairman, Governing Council, Bharatesh

BCA College, Belagavi, Shri Mahesh Mardolkar, Principal, Bharatesh College of Computer

Applications, staff and students. Chief Guest motivated students to work hard to achieve your goal

and be successful in life, and also said there are no short-cuts for hard work. One should be sincere

and dedicated to work.

Lamhe

Bharatesh College of Computer Applications, Belagavi celebrated Lamhe V18 i.e. Graduation Day

on 26th March 2018 at Bharatesh Education Trust‟s BCA Campus. The Chief Guest for the

function was Shri. Sagar Dummarki, Trainer at Indian Air force. He said the importance of

industrial visits for students to get actual practical knowledge of developing products. He also told

final year students current trends in market. Welcome speech was given by Principal Mahesh

Mardolkar. Prof. S.B Kulkarni, Prof. G M Shetty, Vice Principal Smita Desai, Prof. Vijaylaxmi

Rao, Parents and students were present in large number for the function.

Total Scholarship of Rs. 30,000 was distributed for the students excelled in examination conducted

by Rani Channamma University. The best boy for the year is Ashok Naik, Best Girl Pragati Patil ,

STUDENT ACHIVEMENTS

Miss. Natasha from 2nd year BCA, won state level at Akhil Karnataka sports Karate competition

held at Bengaluru, Our Secretary Shri. Rajiv Doddanavar congratulated her for the same.

PLACEMENT DRIVE

Barkley‟s bank conducted one day workshop on “How to face the interview” for the students of

BCA on 14th March 2018.

Placement drive for IBM and Accenture was conducted for the final year BCA students on 7-05-2018.

PRE-ADMISSION ACTIVITY - OPTIMUS

Bharatesh BCA organised One day LAN gaming event called OPTIMUS on 30-12-2017 for the

PUC students. Seven teams from various PUC colleges from Belagavi participated in the event.

BCCA Chairman Shri. Bhushan Mirji, congratulated the winning team and awarded the trophy and

certificates.

IN – HOUSE EVENT

Students of Bharatesh BCA conducted one day In-house IT fest „Aavishkar‟ on 13-1-2018. Mr

Vinay Solapurkar, CEO, Vi2Web was the chief guest. BCCA chairman Shri. Bhushan Mirji graced

the function. Various events like Ice-breaker, Quiz, Coding, Paper presentation, Debate, Designing

were conducted. Winning team was awarded a general championship trophy.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Bharatesh BCA students participated as Volunteers for Anna Hazare event on 5-1-2018.

Awareness session regarding nptel online courses was conducted by Prof. Radhika , MBA

staff.

Students of Bharatesh BCA worked as volunteers for the Nuclea fest conducted by Rotary

club, Belagavi.

Miss. Nidhi Gani , resident of USA conducted a session for Bharatesh BCA students and she

guided students for the opportunities abroad.

Students of Bharatesh BCA participated in „Collosus‟ , a one day IT fest conducted by GSS

BCA college, Belagavi and Runner up in „LAN Gaming‟

Career guidance program was conducted by Mr. Omkar, Bharatesh MBA department for the

students of Bharatesh BCA.

NIIT conducted a written test for the second year students, the topper will get the chance to avail

the scholarship for the NIIT certification program.

Students of Bharatesh BCA participated in Radio Mirchi program and grabbed prizes on 12-7-2018

Students of Bharatesh BCA conducted debate competition as a part of weekly activity on 13-7-

2018

BCA student organised Fresher’s party “FRESHIA” on 4-8-18.

Deshpande Foundation awareness session about safety on the road was conducted by Miss.

Akshata for Bharatesh BCA Students 0n 29 August 2018.



IT-CLUB

Bharatesh BCA students have formed an IT club. The club launched iBCCA app using Android for

internal communication on 15th March 2018. BCCA chairman Bhushan Mirji inaugurated the app.

FINAL YEAR PROJECT EXHIBITION

Final Year students of BCA exhibited their projects on 30h March 2018. Top two projects were

given cash prize of Rs. 1000/- and Rs. 500/- each. Mrs. Sheetal Dharwadkar, HOD, CS department,

MLBP College was the judge for the event. The cash prize was sponsored by Vice Principal Mrs.

Smita Desai.

ETERNUS – V.18

Bharatesh BCA College, Belagavi organized Eternus – V.18 a National Level IT fest on the

“Lawns of Shagun Gardens” on 16/02/2018. Shri. N. H. AIychit , special Officer, RCU, Belagavi,

Shri Mahaveer Upadhye, Member, Bharatesh Education Trust, Belagavi was the Guest of honor for

the Inauguration function which was attended by Shri Mahesh Mardolkar, Principal, Bharatesh

College of Computer Applications, Mrs. Smita Desai Vice Principal, Bharatesh College of

Computer Applications, Staff and students. A total of 13 teams from Maharashtra, Goa and

Karnataka participated in this event.

For the Valedictory function Mr. Arun Patil, General Manager-Ekus was the Chief – Guest which

was attended by Shri. Sharad Balekai, Shri Mahesh Mardolkar, Principal, Bharatesh College of

Computer Applications, Mrs. Smita Desai Vice Principal, Bharatesh College of Computer

Applications, Staff and students. A total of 900 people gathered for the event in the valedictory

function.

Bharatesh College of Computer Applications organized “Traditional Day” for students from

20/03/2018 to 24/03/2018.



ANNUAL SPORTS Bharatesh College of Computer Applications organized Annual Sports Day “Sportzy” for students

on 01/04/2017. Students from all three years participated in various in-door and out-door activities.

AWS awareness session was conducted for Bharatesh BCA Students 0n 12th July 2018 by Cloud Academy Bangalore.

Students of Bharatesh BCA conducted Ad-mad show as a part of weekly activity on 13-7-2018.

Orientation Session

Orientation session was conducted by Miss Akshata from Deshpande foundation for Bharatesh BCA students on 24-7-2018.



Readers Club

Bharatesh BCA third semester students have started a reader’s club , wherein they read a story

book and narrate it to the entire class. It is the part of Time-Table.

Movie Club Bharatesh BCA third semester students have started a Movie club , wherein they watch an

animated film. It is the part of Time-Table.



Kodagu & Kerala Flood Fund Collection

Students of Bharatesh BCA participated in Fund raising along with Deshpande

Foundation(LEAD)for Flood affected people of Kerala and Kodagu 22-8-2018 .
