• “When I was 20 yrs old I was in a very vulnerable state, with stress from my job and personal problems the pressure became too much for me. I was finding it more and more difficult to cope……I eventually started to break down and ended up taking several months off work with depression and anxiety. I had started to self harm punishing myself for what I felt was my fault………..”

• “I started to mix with some people who I thought were my friends and started taking a few drugs. As you can imagine when I was at my most vulnerable the delight of cocaine as a release from the reality was very welcome. I found myself well-hooked on the drug enjoying it more and more…..”

• “As I was to find out its an expensive habit which I began spending more and more money on, borrowing from my credit cards and from the bank to fund my habit. I stopped paying my rent and my bills and started spending all my money on the pursuit of getting high……..”

• “ I soon had bailiffs knocking on my door demanding money, my so-called friends evicted me from my home, my family wouldn’t let me stay with them and so I had to live alone in a hostel……….”

was unemployed, I was at home all the time, with not very much to do and very little self confidence and motivation..”
