Social Program

1. Entries must be on the prescribed entry form and accompanied by your entry fee. Entries will not be accepted by telephone. Entries can not be made through the BGC online booking system.2. The Board of the Ballarat Golf Club shall have the entire management of the tournament, The Board reserve the right to make any alterations to handicaps before any event should they deem to be desirable.3. Entries are restricted to amateurs who are members of Clubs of Golf Australia or of Golf Clubs registered with such State or Overseas Associations as are affiliated with the Golf Australia and the Board shall have the right to refuse entry of any person without being required to give any reason for such refusal.4. Competitions shall be played in accordance with the rules of golf as adopted by the Royal and Ancient Club of St Andrew’s Scotland, together with such local rules as are in force on the course over which the competition takes place. If a dispute arises on any point, it shall be decided by the committee in charge of the competition whose decision shall be final. Provided however, that the Committee, if in doubt, shall have the right to refer any such dispute to the Golf Australia, whose decision shall be final.5. In the event of a tie results will be determined by count back.6. Trophies – no player may win more than two trophies on any one day excluding teams events. Mixed, Ambrose, Women & Men’s 4 Ball Events winners eligible for one trophy only. The number of Trophies given for each event may be varied at the discretion of the Tournament Committee. No player can win both scratch & handicap events.7. Men’s & Women’s maximum Australian handicap is 45.8. The Committee reserve the right to cancel any event for which insufficient entries are received.9. Electronic GPS devices are permitted to be used during the tournament.10. Players must report to the pro shop 15 minutes prior to hit off time. Players must be prepared to play when called upon to do so by BGC otherwise they will be liable to penalty or disqualification.11. When 50% of the field play 9 holes or more it will be deemed a competition and prizes awarded. In the event of a cancellation a full refund will be only given to those who do not tee off, not those who withdraw from the competition.12. Rosalie Andre Trophy will be played in conjunction with the singles event. Each player must fill in their own entry form and then add their other 2 partners on each of the forms. Players must be the same club.13. Due to Covid Regulations, only patrons that are double vacinated will be permitted into the clubhouse.
