Aims and scope Biogeosciences (BG) is a not-for-profit international sci-entificjournaldedicatedtothepublicationanddiscussionofresearcharticles,shortcommunications,andreviewpapersonallaspectsoftheinteractionsbetweenthebio-logical, chemical, and physical processes in terrestrial or extraterrestriallifewiththegeosphere,hydrosphere,and atmosphere.Theobjectiveofthejournalistocutacrossthe boundaries of established sciences and achieve an interdisciplinaryviewoftheseinteractions.Experimen-tal,conceptual,andmodellingapproachesarewelcome.Biogeosciencescoversthefollowingfields:▪ biodiversityandecosystemfunction;▪ evolutionaryecology;▪ environmentalmicrobiology;▪ biogeochemistryandglobalelementalcycles;
